Mission food center — Local services in San Francisco

I’ve bought meat from here (chicken and beef) at least three times. The first time, there was a Muslim brother at the register who helped me out and told me a little about the store’s origins. This was back in early 2024 and the store had been around for at least 1 year before I found it. Other times I have gone are after midday prayer. On those trips, the folks behind the counter are not Muslim and don’t know much about how the meat is butchered. Salam Alikoum, I am very happy to have a new Halal Food Market in the Mission District. I did ride a bike there, but I am positive that parking won't be an issue. Masha'a ALLAH a very good size market, very clean and needs our support as community, Support as local business and support as a halal store. Note, it had more Latino products, and it is very good to be 8n service of your local community and looking forward to more Arab/ Middle Eastern products. Really big, nice and clean. Bought some halal veal and it was perfect. I used to go to Green Apple Market on Polk but don’t live near there anymore so I’m so happy this is here! Inshaallah they stay open and are a staple of the community.
