Searchlight Market — Local services in San Francisco

Open/Close Time - Like most family owned shops, this place opens and closes when they arrive and feel like going home. I have seen the store close early and open late, so do not bank on them being open if it is close to the Open/Close time.

Value - I know that this is a convenience store, and with that comes higher prices. I have noticed that some items are on the very high end, and some are reasonable. I would assume most are in the higher end from what I have noticed, but for last minute things, it is more about eh convenience.

The 10 dollar minimum for cards is tough to swallow. I have also been given change in interesting amounts, ie 66 cents was 5 dimes, 2 nickels, and 6 pennies. It was close to closing time and money is money, just couldn't help but smile when...

Worst people and service. I politely asked if my dog could come in even tho she’s a service dog and they said no. So I tied her up outside to be respectful to them and I asked why dogs aren’t allowed and they came up with the excuse that the isles aren’t wide enough?????? The isles were normal size and absolutely no one in the store. I have never been to an SF store that has denied dogs. I grabbed what I was gunna buy and asked again why they are anti-dog and some other person who I assumed worked there refused me service. They were completely rude and unprofessional. Not once in SF have I encountered a business that has refused a service animal. Not even sure if they are allowed to in this city. I ask that you don’t give this...

I would give this place zero stars if I could. Came in here a few times and the owner was rude every time. And to add insult to injury I needed in here to return keys from an airbnb. Google and the airbnb said this place opens at 7:30am. Get here at 7:40am and the shop is dark. Sign says it opens at 8am but here comes the shop owner to let himself in. Show him the keys and tell him we just need to return them. He said no they weren't open and locked the door behind him. So I got to stand out here until 8am. Then I can't even return the keys because no key fob. Owner refuses to help out and now I'm running late...
