Stayed here 1 night during our 15 night trip. Absolutely the worst hotel out of the 10 different hotels we used during our road trip. Upon arriving the bathroom window was open, and was not brought to our attention to close for safety as we were on the floor level of hotel. There were pubic hairs on the sink counter top and under the toilet seat. Extra top lock on door broken and dangling - not usable. Beds are awful squeaky rocks, as are the pillows. Half of the outlets do not work so when we woke both of our cell phones were dead. Walls are so thin that you hear everything that goes on, especially in the room above you. Worst is the shower. Mold on the shower ceiling (a lot). Water does not stay one temperature, it fluctuates on its own from ice cold to boiling hot. I put the temp as it should be - a nice warm- and had my 6 year old enter as we would any hotel for a quick rinse. No more than a minute later he screams at the top of his lungs in pain as the boiling hot water scalded his entire body. I was livid and went to speak to the front desk. They could care less. Claim they have no idea the water does this or that the outlets don't work. This hotel charges way to much for the quality of room you'll get (and we're not very picky people and often choose budget friendly rooms.) They do not invest $$ back into their hotel to keep it up to date and sanitary and maintain it as every hotel should. Mold should have been dealt with for instance long ago before it turned into a patch the size of a piece of notebook paper. Please look elsewhere especially if you have children. It's worth it to pay a little more to...

I feel I need to start by saying there is NO A/C or fans, only a heater, and while this makes sense for San Francisco historically, with climate change this is not acceptable. The rooms got very warm, and being so close to the street it's impossible to sleep with the windows open due to constant noise, so we wound up sweating out all night. This is doubly uncomfortable for me, as I have medical conditions that are exacerbated by heat. The beds are also very, very hard, like a couch pull-out, so if you have a bad back and need the support of a softer mattress you may want to shop around.

Those two things aside, this place isn't bad for a budget stay. The service of the staff was wonderful in every interaction. I'm not sure if the man downstairs is the owner or not but he was nothing short of friendly. The room was clean and much of the furnishings seemed new or recently refurbished. It did have a decently sized mini fridge (But do yourself a favor and triple check that it's on! We stored things in our fridge, only to find in the morning that it was all spoiled from being hot-boxed as the refrigerating element was turned off. Our mistake, but we didn't expect this to be left off for guests...)

All in all not a bad place to stay at all, but the lack of A/C is a deal...

My girlfriend and I absolutely loved this place! It's smack dab in the middle of everything. Most things are within a 30 minute walk! And if it isn't 30 minutes walking, it's 30 minutes via the bus system. (which I highly recommend you learn to use if you come here to visit!) The staff here is so helpful and incredibly nice. Shout out to Jonah and Anthony (whom you'll likely meet at the front desk), you 2 are the bomb. Upon arrival we were greeted by these kind souls, we were sold on some tickets they were selling CHEAP for fun attractions downtown, and once our room was ready there was ghiradelli chocolates on our bed to enjoy. This Inn is clean and cozy, it's not newly renovated, spacious, or anything spectacular. But if you're staying for a few days and just need a place to sleep that you'll feel comfortable and safe in then this is for you. Most nights were very quiet, we never had any noise issues. In the mornings they do offer breakfast but be warned it is ONLY muffins, pound cake, coffee, milk, and juice. If you're looking for anything more make a run to the trader joes on bay st. or go out! All in all our stay here...

Really great place to stay. The staff were super kind and friendly, I honestly can't emphasize enough how lovely these folks were. The room was spotlessly clean, everything functional, and came with a full kitchenette to my total surprise. The decor is very charming and cozy. The whole room felt more like staying at your friend's grandma's vacation house than it did a hotel, very good vibes. Nice neighborhood, coffee shop directly next door, and a muni stop on the corner. Oh and guest parking if that's important to you! Only note of warning: The building has older bones and the sound of neighboring suite doors being opened or closed is very audible through the walls. It didn't bother me at all but if you are a very light sleeper or are otherwise very sensitive to noise you might find some sleep earphones or earplugs a plus. It is otherwise a very quiet neighborhood and building. All around excellent lodging in a convenient location and not crazy expensive like a lot of places.

We got there just in time to check in and the process was simple and pretty straight forward. We were given the room card and notified where the breakfast would be served and the time. The breakfast turned out to be very simple of bananas and cookies on that small area next to the receptionist. We got a room facing the street with a window that could actually open. Yay. When we went in the room smelled a bit lack of air. So we opened it and let it air for a good 15 minutes while we charged our phones. After that it smelled perfectly fine. The room was a bit small just with a desk on the right hand corner as we stood by the door. There was a big flat screen TV facing our bed. The inn I think was a bit outdated but it's clean and just perfect for us. We decided to leave our car there and just walked out to Pier 39.
