Store attendant this morning was lovely and such a funny and friendly guy. Picked up a bottle of water for $2.50. Went back this evening around 9:45PM and got the same bottle of water for $2.50 and gave the guy at the counter $3 and opened my wallet waiting for the 50 cent change. I looked at him and he said 50 cent more and only gave him 2 dollars even though he had closed the til already and was trying to get an extra 50 cent out of me. He asked for a dollar more and I said no and had already given $3. He eventually backed down and said ok here is your 50 cent. I put a dollar down and said forget about it and walked out. So disgusted paying $4 for a $2.50 bottle. Will NEVER EVER GO BACK...

Star Market Deli is my favorite go-to shop anytime I’m in the TL/Nob Hill area. Every time I walk up that slope of Leavenworth street my mood starts to change as I get excited to be welcomed by my brother from another mother, Ryan. It’s like a little slice of home in the neighborhood. Reminds me of the bodegas on the block that make your neighborhood feel like a neighborhood back in NYC. They got a great selection of booze, snacks (both healthy + guilty pleasures), and everything else to satisfy your local corner bodega needs. Catch my bro Ryan on a very good day and he will be playing the jamz 🎧🎉 and making your day just that...

This is hands down my favorite corner store on Geary. Every time I come I’m here and my friend Ryan is working I come in an shout “hello!” He pops out of the corner and greets me with a “hello how are you my friend!”

He plays the best music every time we are shopping in here and it makes me feel like the main character. I do not go anywhere else for corner store or liquor stores. He has my business...
