FYI if you decide to have a consultation here, they do not do photo renderings. They don’t disclose that they don’t do them either. This was something I missed during my research, but due to the popularity of photo renderings I thought it was a given that every good practice does them. I had a virtual consultation with Dr. Ben Lee, then an in-person consultation. As a person I really like Dr. Lee but I did not got through with the surgery. He is probably the most chill doctor I’ve talked to.
When I would call or text WAVE, the office staff seemed very unprofessional. They would refer to me by different names and I’m not sure if they forgot or were looking at the wrong patient profile. They would ask me if I’m available for certain dates and when I would respond, tell me that date is no longer available. They would also schedule calls with me and call much later with no explanation. They also wrote down some of my information incorrectly, apparently my name is Rebecca and I’m from Vegas.
The virtual consultation (Zoom) was okay, I liked Dr. Lee as a doctor and I figured photo renderings were impossible through zoom. He offered an implant for the procedure.
My partner and I spent 10 hours round trip because there are no doctors in my area who specialize in ethnic rhinoplasty. My whole life i was told I had a flat Asian nose, and the skin is really thick. Based on the first consultation, I thought Dr. Lee considered my nose to have Asian features.
At the office consultation, I asked a nurse if photo renderings would be done and she said no. If I had known this, I probably wouldn’t have wasted time and money driving here. The weird part is that they didn’t disclose it before or give any explanation as to why they don’t. I feel that doctors to this to avoid accountability if the patient is unhappy.
Dr. Lee seemed like a nice person but I didn’t feel confident going through with the procedure. He also considered the surgery a non-Asian rhinoplasty because he said my nose was actually more white than Asian, the white side of my family has a prominent nose so it’s a mix of both. I wasn’t sure if he left it out to bring me to the office or if he couldn’t see on zoom. If I had known this, I probably would have scheduled consultations locally in my area. I had no idea what I was going to look like with no photo references, and he had me use my phone to google noses I liked but I couldn’t find any before photos that looked like me. Personally I find it weird that this is the only place where the office staff and doctor asked me to share photos of other people’s noses, rather than referencing my own. I also could not find a single before/after photo of a rhinoplasty done by Dr. Lee, and the only reviews I could find were negative or had no photos. There are also two Dr. Lee’s at WAVE, and most reviewers didn’t bother to write their first name so I had no idea which doctor they were referring to.
Dr. Lee seems to specialize in body surgeries, and has done facial surgery but I could not find any photos. Before the consultation I asked a staff member if I could switch to Dr. Denise Wong, who did have some rhinoplasty photos, but the staff...

After some time to really see the full results I was unhappy with one of the sides because the crease was barely present. I reached out to Wave and the said they would get back to me to schedule an appointment. Weeks pass by so I call them again and I voice my frustration with their lack of communication and the front desk said they would call back within a week. Months have passed by now and still no contact. Super disappointing.
The experience with Dr. Denise Wong as still a very great experience with the staff and ones who coordinate the appointments is very disorganized and has not followed through with contacting me. Almost considering just getting it fixed elsewhere..
Previous Review from 2021: Dr. Denise Wong is an excellent doctor!! She is so patient, works carefully with precision, checks in on you after your surgery, and overall makes you feel comfortable.
After about a year of thinking about it, I had decided I wanted to get double-eyelid surgery (upper blepharoplasty). I was conscientious about who I wanted to see because my mom and cousin has seen doctors that were a bit rude during the process. When you’re doing a procedure like that, you want all the comfort you can get since you’re in a vulnerable position.
My mom and my cousin had it done by two different doctors, and when we compared our procedures, it was apparent that Wave Plastic Surgery does it right. Dr. Wong meets with you before to talk about how you want it done, and the office goes over all of the instructions (what to do the day before surgery, expect after surgery, and do after surgery). The day of, she works carefully to make sure she will make the incisions in all the right places, and after surgery, she checks in with you. During the first 2-3 weeks, I emailed her progress photos every 2-3 days, and she would answer any questions that I would have.
Highly recommend it if you’re thinking of going...
Read moreHeading into WAVE for my very first beauty treatment was pretty nerve-wracking. I mean, I did a bunch of research beforehand, but still, the worry about what could go wrong was real. However, that all changed when I met Jenna and Annie, the clinic's nurse practitioner and her amazing technician.
Jenna was incredible right from the start, and Annie was just as fantastic. They could both tell I was feeling anxious and went out of their way to make me comfortable. Jenna answered all of my questions with patience and clarity, while Annie made sure I had everything I needed and kept reassuring me. It was clear they really understood where I was coming from with my concerns.
Talking to them felt like catching up with friends who just happen to know a ton about beauty treatments. Jenna made sure I fully understood everything and felt completely at ease before we proceeded, with Annie nodding along and adding helpful comments. This team effort did wonders for my confidence in deciding to go ahead with the treatment.
Choosing WAVE for my first beauty treatment was definitely the right call. It wasn’t just the excellent quality of the procedure itself, but the overall experience that really won me over. Saying I was pampered would be a complete understatement! Jenna's kindness and professionalism, coupled with Annie's attentive support, were hands down one of the best, if not the best, experiences I've ever had with beauty professionals. If you’re feeling nervous about trying a new beauty treatment, I can’t recommend this place enough. You’ll be in great hands with...
