We had less time at San Juan than the other ports from our cruise, but this one by far was the best one, a lot of it having to do with this particular tour.

Our guides, Danny and Diego (D&D), were absolutely amazing! The landscapes are beautiful, and each food stop is top tier. You may not even find these gems without knowing the area or going on this tour.

My only warning is for those with mobility or other medical issues. It's all walking with hills and uneven walkways, which can be a bit strenuous for those with difficulty walking, asthma, etc.

The first stop was a little café where we tried a Puerto Rican take on a ham and cheese croissant with a delicious jam in the center. Followed by a beautiful shot of espresso and cream. This was a great place to start off the tour because it definitely piqued my taste buds.

The second stop was actually the historical aspect where we sat in a little park that overlooked a nice view of the water and some land across the way. There, we were taken on a little trip into the past that led up to where Puerto Rico currently is now. Our guides were very knowledgeable and knew how to keep everyone's attention. Plus, being accommodating and making sure to attend to every person on the group. Their personal connections helped immensely in understanding a lot of the architecture, history, social and economic climates, and more. Something you may not get with another generic tour.

The next food stop was at a very cozy restaurant where we made our very own mofongo. It was fun to do and tasted amazing! I was disappointed we couldn't take the leftovers back on the ship, but that wasn't on the tour group's fault. They even wished we could taste the mofongo on the 2nd day because the flavors melt into each other. To pair with the mofongo, we had a refreshing frozen piña colada. Apparently, there are two types, which I didn't know before going on the tour.

Lastly, we headed back to the little park with the benches and wrapped up with a cooling passion fruit popsicle. It was a great way to end the tour and finish up a hot day in Puerto Rico.

If you ever find yourself in Puerto Rico, these guides know where you can go for good food, refreshing drinks, and...

The historical part was great. Stephen was well versed in the history, culture, and stories of Puerto Rico. We walked and got to see some beautiful parts of the city as well. The food part of the tour could use some improvement. It would have been better if he at least sat with the group while we were sampling the dishes. This would allow us to ask questions and get to know the others in the group. Instead, most of the time we just ate in awkward silence while he was off handling the logistics. I’ve been on many food tours before where it didn’t take the whole dining time to handle things for the next stop. Additionally, the main course was delicious however not served with anything to drink (not even water). We did get our included pina colada but it wasn’t served until after we were all done eating. After walking for 45 minutes, I think water should have been a standard. All in all, I enjoyed myself, but for the price I would tell a friend to just stick with a walking tour and then find an authentic Puerto Rican restaurant themselves. UPDATE: So unknowingly I took a food tour through this same company in St Thomas. By a strange coincidence, the owner of both food tours was on the tour with me. I had told our guide Lisa about our experience with this tour and she notified the owner. The owner approached us and we had a long discussion about my experience. She assured me that my experience was not the norm and thanked me for giving them another chance. The tour in St Thomas was amazing so I tend to believe her. The tour guide I had was no longer with the company and she says she is always looking to improve. She even offered to refund us 10% for this tour even though we insisted that it wasn’t necessary. I’m adding a star because I believe she truly is always improving the tours and welcomes feedback to assist her in making positive changes. I loved the tour in St Thomas and hope it was indicative of changes...

Wow, what an absolutely phenomenal time we had! Our guide, Fabian, was an absolute rockstar. His wealth of knowledge and passion for the tour made every moment unforgettable. He had a remarkable ability to keep the tour moving at the perfect pace, ensuring we never missed a beat.

The five food stops on the tour were nothing short of incredible. Each one was a delectable combination of mouthwatering flavors and fascinating history. It was like taking a culinary journey through time, discovering the rich cultural heritage behind each dish. Fabian's ability to intertwine the food with captivating stories and anecdotes made the experience even more special.

One of the members in our group had a food allergy, and we were amazed by Fabian's attentiveness and dedication to ensuring their needs were met. He worked closely with the restaurants to provide alternative options that were equally delicious and safe. It truly showcased his commitment to creating a memorable experience for everyone.

This tour was the perfect grand finale to our adventures before heading back to the states. We can't recommend it highly enough! The price we paid was more than worth it considering the wealth of knowledge we gained from Fabian, the seamless coordination of restaurant stops, and the overall quality of the meals. It was an investment in an experience that will stay with us for a lifetime.

If you're looking for an extraordinary food tour that goes beyond just tasting dishes, this is the one. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Book it now and get ready for an epic journey of flavors, history, and...
