We went in to this Bill Miller's in San Marcos of 35S across from the outlet malls today around 6pm for dinner with the family. I (we)was very disappointed in this store, we usually have a good experience in our San Antonio area Bill Millers. There was one young lady behind the food to serve everyone, and then cashier. She was working really hard to please us. Her name is Julia, she was a doll. Despite some coworkers having lead in their shoes, and not working as hard as Julia to get the food out, the food being sparse, and what was there looked old and dry, even the green beans like it had been there all day. The rice was dry, the macaroni, amd the pinto beans. There was ONE piece of baked chicken, absolutely NO chicken strips, we had to wait for those(kids ordered them), there were no brownies for the Buckaroo meals the kids ordered, the sweet young lady had said we could give them a piece of pie instead(only two types, apple pie and coconut cream, and there weren't many of those either), and she apologized several times, I guess mostly for the lack of everything(no ranch dressing either)and the presentation of the food that was there. I had ordered the #7, I was going to take the other sandwich home. They where not able to be eaten, the top bun on one sandwich was torn in half, but both sets of buns were hard, I could say, stale, and dry. The sandwiches were inedible. The 2 younger kids ages 5 and 8, could not eat the rice and mac'n'cheese because it was too dry and rice was crunchy. So they didnt eat much of anything. I couldn't eat either of the sandwiches. I tried to get 2 dinner rolls to try to make sandwiches with the meat, but when they FINALLY were able to put dinner rolls in the bar for customers, they were a bit smooshed. But the poor young girl Julia also had to fill them up as well as serve customers, do drink orders, and cash them out ,she also had to go back into the kitchen to help get orders out to everyone. They kitchen from what we all could see of it, looked like like NOBODY was cleaning up as they go like they're supposed to. It looked pretty messy. The bathrooms were dirty as well. Needed some attention. The bus boy cleaning tables seemed to be having a bad day or something, even though he was doing his job, he seemed.a bit upset or preoccupied in thought or something, he was slamming chairs around and making all kids of noise, despite people sitting around having dinner. I think MAYBE the management or even higher up, need to schooled on how to run a successful, orderly, clean and well run restaurant. Im not sure if this particular store was having a BAD DAY or this is how they operate there, but it definitely needs a lot of improvement. Thank you Julia for all of your help.in trying to make go as well as you cod despite what you had to work with. You're a very sweet amd helpful young...
Read moreBy far the worst Bill Miller's management I've ever seen from any location i have visited in Texas. The blatant disrespect by management in front of paying customers. While assuming their derogatory phone call couldn't be heard whilst customers placed orders inside was just the beginning of my family's ordeal.
Ignoring the lack of concern was my mistake. But my wife had already started ordering and not trying to be rude I allowed her to continue. Order number called around 10 minutes later and nearly all our food felt luke warm.
Brought this to the attention of the female at the counter and got a rude response of her getting the manager to speak with. Speak with Manager and get meal replaced. Replaced equals to microwave at this location. Was obvious by how the texture of the roll we received came back chewy and rubberized like how microwaves make bread after warming.
No apologies or vouchers to show care, just here's your microwave ready reheated food we had sitting around. I heard mixed reviews from friends which warned me.
One friend even stated they dislike customers who come near closing and lie to take food home each night. They go as far as explaining what they have left for the night opposed to making the requested order. Completely opposite of any other Texas Bill Millers.
I've on multiple instances have management give me the food that gets disposed of at various San Antonio locations for coming late near closing through the drive thru.
Would cheerfully inform me of the extras they included which makes customers feel special and want to return for the great act of kindness. I guess district management got the manager selection regretfully wrong at this location. The old wolf in sheep's clothing only be professional when upper management or corporate pays a visit types.
Prayers to the staff working under these circumstances and getting treated poorly. I read how staffing is here in the reviews and it must've been harsh environment to post the working conditions via Google maps. The type of management that creates those disgruntled enough to come to Google maps voicing work conditions can't be healthy for business nor employee moral. Hopefully they get this sorted for the sake of staff & patrons. Now I understand why my...
Read moreAfter many recent visits I have now changed my review from what used to be a five star rating down to a 1 for staff and 4 for the food service for the following reasons. Staff constantly gives me the wrong order many times I’ve driven all the way home before realizing. Second, when I have come in on multiple times reporting problems to staff, I have received inadequate food or replacement.
One order I made was for a large family meal whole chicken sides, and pounds of meat. I don’t understand how they could’ve chopped off half my chicken and not noticed before I got all the way home.
And for the final reason upon this last visit, they have messed up my order almost every single time for the past three visits and this time was the worst . I asked for two simple things on this order and they messed both of them up then when I went back and told them they gave me the wrong drink once again and the manager Darren along with his other employee, not only question and basically called me a liar. It took them five minutes to figure out that I was right and that they were serving me the wrong drink telling me that I don’t know what the taste of Dr Pepper or Pepsi is. Come to find out they had the lions crossed and cherry cola was being mixed in with Pepsi. I had even told the manager that doesn’t smell like a Pepsi. It smells like cherry Dr Pepper. Why don’t you smell it. The lady working the window had the audacity to insult me not once but twice and didn’t even do it Without Concern for offending me. She told her staff this is the second time I’ve had to replace his drink well if they would’ve made it right the first time or the second I wouldn’t be back trust me. It really shows that the customer is always right as long since died when people are allowed to insult their guests, especially when they are wrong. Not only did I get insulted I didn’t get a sincere apology for also being talked badly about by the staff.
I will say the food is always good not worth returning most of the time. The only time I’ve ever had a major complaint with their food is when I’ve gotten something that appears to have...
