This company literally will not stand behind a single service they provide. 1 - The company left unfinished cables on the outside of my house. They were supposed to run them to the TV but when they couldn't get the tv to work they said that getting service to the tv was "OUTSIDE OF THE SCOPE" of the project. Really you just ran cables to the tv for fun then? Then you leave them unfinished on the side of the house? When I asked them to come terminate them they said they didn't do it. LOL Ok I guess the magic av cable fairy came and did them. 2 - They ran an HDMI cable to my projector that was not compatible with my projector. It was an HDMI cord I had at my house and the technician ensured me it worked before it was installed. They refused to make it right or remove the charges for running the cable after. 3 - I thought I was paying for a professionally installed theater system. They left tons of extra cables and unterminated splices showing in a lot of the cables. Even the comcast guy that had to come change our router commented on how messy and hard it was to do anything in the cabinet. 4 - The receiver was too big for my cabinet so my door would not close. After everything was hooked up and installed the installer said he couldn't do anything about it. So I just leave my cabinet door open? I ended up having to unhook everything and cut a hole in my cabinet and reinstall. Exactly what I want to do after an expensive system was just hooked up. 5 - Their billing system is crazy to follow. It took over 5 weeks to get a single document with line items they were charging me for. They were rude and hassled me along this process but I could not make heads or tails out of their invoice system. I gave them multiple chances to just come finish the job correctly and they referred to their contract and fine print every time. I would be worried about doing business with a company that worries way more about what is in the fine print, then making sure you have a project that comes out right as the company had intentionally promised it. The owner was even involved and although nice, refused to do much to resolve the situation. Maybe wear a body cam when you deal with them so you can document what they actually say instead of what they can weasel their way out of after the fact. I 100% regret using this company.

This is our third time around with Argenta and setting up a system. I think most people think they're just a home theatre shop, but they also sell 2-channel systems and offer a lot of great options for equipment. I previously worked with Justin on the setup of our home theater, and they did a stellar 5 star rating on that job. It still sounds and works really well. For this project we wanted a new 2-channel setup and Justin worked with me all the way. He talked to me on the phone and over text about my options, during business hours and even after business hours. He has a real passion for 2-channel systems, so can talk about it forever and offers a lot of insight into what one needs based on room, budget, preferable sources, etc. Justin and Declan came up to our house and did the install over the course of a few hours and it was amazing. I can't say enough good things about their care of the equipment, our house, and the detail they showed in setting everything up and then measuring it. You really cannot go wrong with them. If you're looking for a home theater or 2-channel system I would start by giving Justin a call as chances are he will be able to find a solution to your needs and offer great insight. You won't regret working with him or his team.

Argenta was a pleasure to work with from start to finish! When we built our house almost 5 years ago we put in a home automation system, it was a disaster, it didn't work very well, it cost a lot of money to program, and then the company went out of business, as part of that system we built a theater, but we rarely used it, the sound was so bad that we almost always used sub-titles, we had to juggle a bunch of remotes, etc, etc, I was skeptical to try again, but from the minute we went to Argenta's show room, and listened to what we could have, with a decent sound system with atmos, and what a 4K picture could truly look like I was convinced enough to give it a try. The completed product is amazing, Argenta followed up, met their schedule, basically did everything a contractor should do. Now the theater is almost constant use, If my wife and I aren't using it, one of our 4 married children come over to use it.

If you're looking for the best home-theater for you, look no further! Argenta should be your first and final choice in making your home-theater dreams come true.....they did it for me!

I found Argenta through a recommendation and a Google search and started working with Tanner. There isn't enough space for me to say it all, but Tanner was THE BEST to work with!

COLLABORATION: I thought I knew what I wanted when I walked in the door, but Tanner showed me so much more! He wasn't trying to make an extra buck; they don't work off commission. He wanted to make sure I knew what was available in the world of home theater and boy, was I impressed! Tanner knew SO much about everything!

We worked together on creating my dreams into reality. It was spectacular to have this company create my basment (using the actual basement layout in my house) in Virtual Reality and have me put on the VR goggles to experience what it could be. I was able to ask questions, bounce ideas around about the layout of furniture, speaker placement, and tweak this idea (color of walls, size of screen), or incorporate professional advice to get the perfect layout for me. I could ACTUALLY SEE the changes right then and there and experience being in my future basement from the comfort of their store.

EQUIPMENT/PRICE: The equipment I purchased from Argenta were speakers, subwoofers, receiver, projector, and various smaller items to make it all work together. Argenta worked with MY budget and didn't try to upsell or have me purchase some expensive thing I truly didn't need. Their recommendations were spot on to what my basement layout was and what my pocket book could handle. I was able to test these products in their showroom before I purchased them. To be fair, I still paid a good amount of money, but the quality was worth it. Each product is fit to each individual house so prices will vary depending on the project....Argenta matched mine perfectly. I couldn't be happier with the equipment experience I have in my theater (audio and visual).

CONSTRUCTION: I ended up re-doing my basement (walls and all) on my own to save some money, but I was able to match the dream layout Tanner and I had created. We were communicating every step of the way to make sure the end result was what was intended. I always felt Tanner and Argenta worked as a team for me; never felt I was "just another customer." I ran my own wires and, with the measurements I was given by Argenta, I was able build my basment to the exact specs that allowed everything to be installed with ease and 0 problems.

INSTALLATION: The day finally came for installation of the system I purchased. Patrick and Nate came to my house on time and with a great attitude. They worked tirelessly throughout the day to get every piece of equipment unboxed, hooked up, calibrated, and ready for use. They were masters of professionalism and technique. When they were finished, they took the time to show me how it all worked and how I would be operating it. They had it set up to where even a caveman could operate it (sorry cavemen).

We all sat and watched a clip of a movie to really test the system.....and WOW! It sounded far better than I had hoped! My dreams were a reality. Right there. Right then. It was an experience I had been waiting for and was now having. Argenta made that possible. An 11.4.2 system brought a tear to this man's eye.

FINAL: Argenta is advertised as being the premier smart home and commercial building automation specialists....but they provide SO. MUCH. MORE. They are dream makers and make those dreams reality. I can't thank them enough and recommend them to ANYONE and EVERYONE. I will never forget my experience and am reminded of it every time I walk downstairs....an amazing reminder to have. The real payoff, I must say, was when I found my wife in the basment; had turned everything on on her own and was watching a movie without me. To have her finally experience the dream I dreamed on her own and to have her fall in love with it as I have has made it...

The Michael Jordan of Movie Theater Experiences AKA the G.O.A.T.

I'll just list out some pros and cons to discuss various aspects of my experience thus far with Argenta. For context, I've only had the theater installed for about a month. I will update this review every year or so.

Pro: Customer Experience From my 1st interaction, through the final install, the salesmen, service team, & project managers were responsive, respectful, and friendly. When the 1st Argenta Rep came to my home, we spent a solid hour collaborating on various solutions that would fit my home and work within my budget. He was knowledgeable & Consultative. I appreciated the fact that they always worked within my budget, and NEVER tried to upsell me, or pressure me into buying something that would have pushed me out of my $$ range. Once the theater was installed, i noticed the alignment was slightly off on the projector. I reached out to Argenta, and they had someone come out within 24 hours to fix the issue.

Pro: Theater Experience Let me start off by saying, I am a geek, and I am a gamer. My goal with this theater was to create an immersive & movie like experience, while gaming or watching movies. I can safely say that Argenta has 100% delivered on all fronts here. Lord of the Rings has never sounded so good :) Halo sounds like I'm really in the middle of the action. The speaker quality is amazing. The images produced from the projector are crystal clear.

Pro: Pricing Okay, while my theater set up wasn't cheap, I was pleasantly surprised that the overall cost was less expensive then I was imagining it would be. I should also note that each theater set up is custom, so pricing will vary for every single home.

Pro/Con: Lack of settings adjustment post install Let me start off this topic by saying, I understand why they do this, but I still wish I had more control of some audio/visual settings. Once the theater is up and running Argenta customizes & tailors the theater experience to your home/room. They figure out the perfect viewing/listening experience through research and testing. There really isn't much need to adjust settings, but it still bothers me that I don't have the ability to fully adjust my viewing experience on my own. If you need some settings adjusted, you'll need to reach out to Argenta, and they can assist you. This really is a minor nuisance and doesn't warrant taking off a whole star in my opinion.

Final Thoughts: If you are thinking of installing a theater in your home, it's worth giving Argenta a shot to earn your business. If I had to do it all again, I probably wouldn't change a thing. I'm very happy with my theater, and look forward to doing business with Argenta at some point...
