The Mountain America Expo Center is a 200,000-square-foot (19,000 m2) event center located in Sandy, Utah. It opened in November 2000 at a cost of $46 million. The Expo Center is owned by Salt Lake County and managed by ASM Global. It is the primary venue on the Wasatch Front for consumer shows, expos, community events, regional and local meetings and conferences. It complements the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, which primarily hosts national conventions.

The Expo Center has five halls, each with 48,600 square feet (4,500 m2) of space. The halls can be used separately or combined to create a space of up to 200,000 square feet (19,000 m2). The Expo Center also has a 10,000-square-foot (930 m2) ballroom, a 4,000-square-foot (370 m2) meeting room, and a 1,000-square-foot (93 m2) boardroom.

The Expo Center has hosted a variety of events since it opened, including the Utah State Fair, the Salt Lake Home Show, the Utah Motorcycle Expo, and the Utah Beer Festival. It has also been used for corporate events, weddings, and concerts.

In 2019, the Expo Center was awarded the "Venue of the Year" award by the Utah Events Industry Association.

I am a registered, paying participant here at the 2022 auto Rama.its a three day event. Our first time being here.The venue was great. The first two days were great, and then these two rude, condescending, arrogant ladies came along on the third day and ruined it for everyone. These two need a major attitude adjustment And a refresher course in public relations. I came and went through any door I pleased that was marked exit with no problems Friday or Saturday. I got nothing but smiles and happy comments from the staff. But today these two wannabee prison guards were put in charge of the door and apparently they think they’re guarding Buckingham palace. They are NOT! 😂 I highly recommend keeping these two out in the booth next to the gate at all times and as far away from people as possible. You would think after 22 years you would’ve mastered crowd control by now. Judging by alot of the staff, there must be a prison program here.😂 if dealing with the public drives you crazy, do us all a favor and quit now. F.Y.I. I returned to the door 20 minutes later and watched these same two women letting hoards of patrons walk out through the forbidden"IN" door so, a little less hypocrisy and more consistency would be...

The center staff, specifically management is absolutely abysmal. I don't know the name of the woman who drives around in a scooter but she needs to either be removed from staff or resign immediately.

All throughout the convention events that had taken place this past weekend, she did nothing but skulk around and give everyone the nastiest look possible; absolutely terrible people skills.

But most concerning is her indefensible, unacceptable, heartless, and downright cruel behavior at the end of the convention. Near the end of the final event of the night, there was a medical emergency that required first responders. A person had collapsed and was a little slow to respond, and clearly needed time to get themselves together. And all this heartless woman could do is insist the person hurry and leave the premises because the venue had closed. As if there wasn't just a medical emergency.

This woman is a horrible representative of not only the convention center, but of the state of Utah in general.

The volunteer staff however and even con security, seemed to exist solely to embarrass those who officially work there because they were nohelpfully. kind, caring,...
