Joy Pops — Restaurant in Sandy

My youngest daughter is obsessed with their strawberry matcha, so we drove from downtown to try it on her recommendation. - THEY EVEN HAVE DAIRY FREE- she said Upon arrival, it's a cutely decorated very Utah shop. iykyk I ordered my $10 Matcha with oatmilk and strawberry cold foam, which she mentions are both made in house. They look delicious. I have severe reactions to dairy, so i watch her make it just to be sure she's not on autopilot from the whole milk order in front of mine. She mixes the Matcha, adds the oat milk, I think we're home free and then i see her pull out a giant container of what is obviously dairy and start mixing it with a foam contraption. I ask if it is dairy- she says "it's cold foam" I said "cool, does it have dairy in it" she said it does, "I cannot have that, so i guess i'll just take the strawberry flavoring without the foam" Her reply is that they make all of their flavors and foam in house and it all has dairy in it. No where does it say this. At no point when i asked if they had alternative milks did she ask if it was preference or allergy. No point was it posted saying even if you order with alternative milk you'll still be consuming dairy. This is so dangerous to those of us with allergies. Fortunately this time i was watching diligently, but had i not been i'd have certainly become sick. So i write all of this to say- pay attention if you go out, especially here since nothing is posted. Are there nuts in things that have no nuts listed? who knows! But I ended up with a plain oatmilk matcha, which i would never in a million years order, because all the flavors have dairy. I tried it, it was mediocre. I was sad because $10 is a lot to pay for something you cannot even consume....

Kalli is over here making popsicles SO Good We drive 25 mins each way just to get some. She handcrafts her Cream and Fruit Gourmet Popsicles based on what she learned from her visits to the Dominican Republic. She has revolving flavors using the freshest of ingredients. 👏

The Berry Cheesecake was a New to us flavor and SO Delicious. Such a great Cheesecake base and that Berry Jam swirled throughout it sooo Yummy!

The Fruity Pebbles and Cookies & Cream are a favorite in the house so we had to stock up on those. Both are PHENOMENAL!! 👏

You NEED to have Joy Pops at your next event! My husband and I had them at our wedding reception and they were amazing!! First off, popsicles were incredible, people kept asking us where we found this place. Most guests had 2+. Some even had 6 or 7!! Second off, the service was amazing! They were right on time and super flexible to work with. They were even able to maneuver it into the backyard and park it on a concrete porch. The daughter is the owner and she brought her mom and dad to help her. They were very lovely people. I would 100% recommend trying these popsicles or having them at your next...
