Rooms are clean and kitchen utensils are in the room. The shower has plenty of water pressure, but I wish the shower had an adjustable hand held shower wand. The shower head is up high so you cannot get away from the water if you want to keep your hair dry. I am not sure how they keep the tiles clean without a shower wand. The one bedroom has a large, walk-in shower with a glass door, not a shower curtain. The mattress was wonderful. My room was on the ground floor and facing the freeway, but the room was quiet at night. Only motorcycles could be heard at night if they were accelerating on the ramp. The bedroom has room darkening drapes, but the kitchen/living area has blinds. My room gets afternoon sunlight so it glares on the TV. The TV is not opposite the couch, but sideways to it. Only 1 seat faces the TV which you can't see due to the sun. If anyone is sleeping on the sofa, the exterior lights keep the room lit up all night. The staff members are very helpful and welcoming except for one woman who worked the omelet bar on September 15th. When I walked up, she just stared at me so I waited for her to ask if I wanted an omelet. No hello and no smile. She finally said, "You have to fill out the paper". All others were helpful and pleasant. Breakfast is free, including the omelet bar hidden in a corner. For 3 days in a row, the kitchen has served brown, scorched eggs, including the omelet bar. Either they scorch them while cooking or they are being scorched once in the warming pan. The boiled potatoes look like they are broiled a little bit, but they are soggy. Friday, they had what I think was very thin Canadian bacon. The slices were all stuck together in a roll. They did not look appetizing. Saturday, the bacon was limp and undercooked. I am posting this in the hopes that management will read and do something about the breakfast. This is not what I expect for a Hyatt property, but the hotel rooms are wonderful.

I don't usually review chain hotels, but Hyatt House will be my top choice after my most recent stay. The staff was so friendly and intuitive, gave us business travelers some space between our rooms so we didn't feel like we were right next to each other. The room was beautifully appointed, the kitchenette had everything, dishes, cutlery, an ice maker, bottle opener, even a glass water jug to fill and keep in the large fridge. The only thing I couldn't find were scissors. The bathroom had shelves and even a really useful cubby in the closet to put stuff away in. You could borrow a white noise machine and even an oil diffuser and hair straightener. The couch was huge and comfy. The TV swivels 180 degrees so you could watch from bed. The shower had a little shelf/ seat, great for shaving. Gym, office area, pool, restaurant/ bar with patio. The breakfast was very nice, I really enjoyed the made to order omelet. The room was only missing usb ports, but you can borrow a charger as well. A+ in my book.

The Hyatt House in Sandy is the only Hyatt that I like. There are lots of reasons, but the primary reason is because of the layout of the suite rooms. (And they are sweet). :) The room has a kitchen setup, a sofa that faces the TV - but then the TV Swivels towards the bed... so you can lay in bed while you are watching TV too! What kills me is that other Hyatt's have not followed suit to create more suites like this. I have stayed at all of the Hyatt's around Salt Lake Valley, and this one exceeds expectations every time. Their breakfast is wonderful, the pool is excellent, their work out facilities are fantastic. And they are in a great location for all the shopping you could ever do.

My wife and I stayed here this last weekend. I look at my bank account today and there is a charge for 75.00 for extra cleaning. When I called the hotel the manager Shane Cleavenger tells me that that we were seen with a dog and there was dog urine on the floor. We don't have a dog nor have friends that do. So he says he will look into it and call me back.

He calls back and now the story changes and there was feces on the couch and they had to clean it up. He sends me this photo which you will see attached.

Now my feet are badly cracked so grant it it could be blood, but as the photo shows it is maybe the size of a dime to a half dollar and with a little bit of cleaning can be taken care of fine.

I am upset because first we are accused of having a dog and letting it pee in the room and then we are charged 75.00 for such a small spot.

on a further note this is his response to me via email

Mr. Thank you for reaching out to us about the extra cleaning charge. I have attached the photo of the stain on the couch cushion. Small hairs were also found, and the stain smells of fecal matter. This is why the charge is there, as we will have to clean the substance as such.

Warm Regards,

Shane Clevenger Assistant General Manager

I complained about a noise coming from one of the vents in my room. I was told maintenance would come check it out. When they did not come I went down to the desk to find out if they were still coming. I was told that maintenance "didn't know where the noise was coming from" and that I was welcome to change rooms. I changed rooms, and it was more noisy than the first one. I was literally kept up all night from the constant noise coming both from the bathroom fan vent (I had to shut the door it was so loud) and from either outside or another vent in the room which made a constant noise. Also trying to work at the desk was noisy due to there being a whistling sound coming from the furnace. I would have asked to change rooms again, but I didn't want to be the complaining guest and change to a third room. The pillows were very soft and uncomfortable. I also don't think my bathroom was cleaned thoroughly, as there was a hair on the back of the toilet and dusty when I wiped it off. but by the time I got to my second room I was so tired I just wanted to sleep. They put me by an exit door which slammed all day with people coming and going. I most likely will not come back, it's very noisy and uncomfortable. I think they need to have one of the staff sleep in the room (127) to hear...
