Mooyah Burger is a very well done, fresh, and quality burger joint. I would go here before I went to many other chain restaurants of similar types. Definitely over 5 Guys or Shake Shack. Mooyah gets a great 4.5.
To start, the burgers are awesome. A great textured and flavored bun, although toasted comes a part a little easy. Maybe a little more toast needed? The patty is incredible. Well seasoned, great caramelization on the smash, and very juicy. This burger would be juicy even without a sauce. Great job and good quality beef.
The Mooyah sauce is what can make it or break it I think for people. It's a very trendy sauce, and is scratch made. Unfortunately it's has a mustard/pickle based sauce, which for me, totally personal, is very overpowering and makes it just a little too sour/bitter. They are great ingredients in a burger sauce, however I think the ratio is a little much. Same goes for when you dip their fries in it, it gets to be a little overwhelming after a few fries, which their fries are fantastic. I think a lot of people will really like this sauce, I know it's good, but just a bit much for me. I Love the Bacon Cheddar BBQ burger for their awesome caramelized onions as well and different sauce.
The fries really are hand cut and crispy! I could use just a tad more crisp and fry, but good flavor and fresh. I ask for more well done! 👍 Unfortunately the chips when I had them were pretty cold, probably pre-fried earlier and taken from a bin. Fresh potato chips are awesome when done right! Maybe I just got a cold batch that time, but would love to see them fresh fried each time!
Shakes are actually unique to others around, and very good. Their base is very creamy, like cream cream. It's almost like drinking and having blended cream. They're very impressive and each flavor is very good and the flavor you get is apparent and not weak!
Great job overall, service always great! I do...
Read moreI wouldn't waste anymore of my money at MOOYAH fast restaurants. Their supposedly delicious hamburgers at MOOYAH have a good taste, but for what they charge you it is not worth the gas to drive to this fast food restaurant. In fact, their hambers they sell you has absolutely no resemblance to what they show you on their menue board. In fact, their hambers are soggy and sloppy and messy--to say the less. In fact, after you finally finish eating one of their delicious hamburgers, you are left hungry as a bear--hungryer that you starte with in the first place, because they don't put very much meat in between the two soggy buns, which they don't show a soggy bun on their menue sign. Really, it is very disapointing and you feel ripped off...and never want to go back to this MOOYAH again. Don't waste your time! Don't waste your money! It's a big rip off just to go there. MOOYAH makes McDonalds look like a gourmet, high priced luxury restaurant. I give MOOYAH only one gold star because they hand-delivered my order very politely in a nice, neat clean paper bag. I won't be going back to this MOOYAH fast food...
Read moreI ordered the Cheddar Bacon BBQ Burger, with Personal Hand-Cut Fries and a Reese's PB Cups Shake. The burger is good, but I would get something different like the MDC. The fries are really good - could use a little more salt, but that's personal preference. The shake was good, but the Reese's glob at the bottom so I'd try the Oreo or something else.
The price to satisfaction ratio isn't here for me. It's a quality burger and quality food, but as I've said in other burger reviews, if I'm spending the bag for a burger, it's got to beat Five Guys, and MOOYAH doesn't beat that bar for me. Again, good food, no real complaints, but the satisfaction isn't there at the price tag.
The service and atmosphere were solid. It was easy to find parking and a seat, and it's a clean restaurant. I'd definitely eat here again, it just won't be high on my...
