Milk and Cookies Painting — Local services in Sandy

I love Milk and Cookies Painting. Jeff is an amazing teacher! I hated art in school, and I would not consider myself a creative person, but my mom wanted to do a class together. I had so much fun! Jeff walks you through each step, and anytime you get stuck or mess up, he helps you to fix it, so you don't have to be perfect and can just take time to relax! Classes are small and we are able to spread out and wear masks. It has been really nice, with all the craziness and cancelled plans in 2020, to have something fun to do. I have now done several classes here including epoxy pouring, impasto painting, and I'm currently doing a class series working on landscape painting with acrylics. Jeff is great to work with and our group of friends have been able to set up custom classes with him to try different art techniques. Can't recommend highly enough. Each year our Department does a small retreat. This year Milk and Cookies Painting was suggested to us by one of our committee members who had done a class with them before. And let me just say, WOW, we were so glad we had them join us. Jeff was great to work with. We decided to do the fluid art/pour painting because all levels of creativity and art skills can participate with amazing results. We set up at a park close by, they came to us with all the supplies. After sharing a few different techniques to use and examples of what the results would be we were turned loose. It was amazing to see how different all the paintings turned out and the smiles on everyone’s faces made it all worth while. I’m the farthest thing from an artist... I can barely draw stick figures. So I was really nervous about going to this. Not only was the instructor (Jeff Olson) the nicest person I’ve met but he was so funny! I was actually able to paint and do better than I ever thought possible. Jeff really helps you if you are struggling and doesn’t make you feel bad about yourself. This is a great thing to do as a family event or even a date. I would love to do this again!
