OVERVIEW - 3 If patience was a form of currency, would I never have been able to afford my meal. I came here with my wife and daughter on a whim, we were next store at 7 Eleven, and were hungry, and figured Chinese would be a good choice. I found it comical that they were cashing off the name of Mulan (in this case, based off the Disney cartoon). There were some framed artwork of Mulan above some of the tables. Found the restroom rather gross as well, and was extremely hesitant helping my daughter to use the toilet...
LOCATION - 4 A reasonable location along State Street not too far from the Salt Lake Real Stadium, and next store to that massive event center.
PRICE - 3 For two meals plus additional spring rolls with a large drink it came to around $24.
PRODUCT/SERVICE - 2 I ordered something I'm rather familiar with, sweet & sour chicken, with fried rice. I noticed their Cashew Chicken and mentioned it to my wife, so she ordered it. My sweet & sour chicken was a typical dish you'd find at any other Chinese restaurant. My wife's Cashew Chicken, was a soar disappointment, and that's putting it kindly. We counted four cashew nuts on the whole plate. The vegetables heavily (and I emphasize the word heavily) out-weighed the chicken. I particularly didn't care for the sauce it was drenched in, nor did my wife. Needless to say, this was one plate we did not take home. The spring rolls were average.
EMPLOYEES - 3 The cashier, was also served us our food at the table. She was friendly, but I do have to say, I did find it rude all that was said was maybe tops, 10 words in English, and the rest of time, we heard her in the background shouting out all kinds of things in Chinese. Regardless of the language, I find it rather rude to speak any language in front of customers (or within earshot), especially if they don't...
Read moreI love Chinese food and I could eat it everyday of my life. The Curry Chicken is my favorite but overall everything I have eaten here over the past few years has been perfect. I'd give the quality of the food, the look, even the presentation 5 stars. This is a small mom-and-pop restaurant and it's well worth your time and effort, to make the trip if you like Chinese / Asian food.
I do eat here pretty regularly now and it is always top notch, fresh food, prepared just exactly how I like it. They are always eager to please. The fun part for me is that they do remember me & just how I like things. That's kind of cool!
I have brought a couple of friends with me that have been on special diets. The owners have always been very accommodating. My friends now know that they have another place that they can eat, they also...
Read moreFood was really not good. I don't know why people are hyping this place up, because the service was not great, and the food was not tasty. I got the broccoli and beef and the beef was slimy and didn't even seem to have a natural texture. The vegetables were pretty much raw. When I asked if I could have more vegetables on the side instead of rice the lady looked at me weird and said that they could not accommodate me that way. I had to explain again that I don't eat rice and I'd rather have vegetables on the side until she finally understood. The environment was kind of underwhelming as well. That's my honest review. My final thought was that I would never go back. There is much better Chinese...
