I accepted a promo for a free watch with a new iPhone purchase back in August, it is now November. First the watch did not show up until October. We said to just cancel it and Kayleen insisted it would get there without explanation really as to why it was so late meanwhile our bill was showing that we owed for the watch and fees for set up on a watch we didn’t even have. Now the “free” watch is still showing on my bill as a $300 purchase. Have spoken to Kayleen no less than 10 times between multiple family members, each time she says it’s handled, over email she said it was taken care of. Now she’s not even responding. I don’t know how this store has such high reviews? Must have a lot of friends farming 5 stars. Beyond frustrated. Only leaving a review because I’ve run out of resources to get any help.
Update: they did nothing to fix the issue, they said directly to me that they offered me a false promotion (intentionally committed fraud) and even though they said they’d take the unused device without a box over the phone as soon as I got in the store the manager called someone and I overheard him say “I’ll get rid of her”. They won’t honor the promotion that I have signed documentation of and they won’t...
Read moreDON'T BELIEVE ANY OF THE 5-STAR REVIEWS FOR THIS LOCATION! Here's why: we went into the Sandy Verizon store 2 weeks ago to upgrade to new phones. After we'd selected and paid for the new phones, the representative told us that the data transfer from our old phones to the new ones "could take up to 50 minutes, so feel free to leave and come back." We took him up on it and left for 25 minutes, then returned and wrapped up. Yesterday I checked my emails, and was startled to come across an email from Google thanking me for my 5-star review of the Verizon store in Sandy. The twist: I NEVER REVIEWED THEM. On October 20th, the day of my visit, the representative took it upon himself to get on my phone after I'd briefly left the store, and leave himself a 5-star review on Google. And it's clearly not an isolated incident. NO local cell phone store has 4.9 stars and almost THREE THOUSAND REVIEWS. This is clearly something they do often, and a huge invasion of their customers' privacy. I did not tell them they could do anything on my phone except transfer my data. Hugely unethical. Think twice before giving this store your business. Posting a screenshot of what the review said before...
Read moreTerrible, don't ever use this Verizon store. They are incompetent and rude. The store manager is a real Karen (I'd use her real name but she wouldn't give it) and loses her mind when you request basic common decency. She wouldn't even give me her name when requested so I could report her to her supervisors. Here is her picture calling the cops on me to have me trespassed because I wanted to close my account.
She wouldn't help me in the least and even said to me "Ohh, you're one of those people" when I told her I wanted a port code to close my account. As soon as I said I wanted a port code, she became hostile and rude. Worst experience in my life at a store and the most unprofessional person I've ever dealt with.
I know everyone says "Take it to the business first, don't blast them here"...well I tried, she wouldn't give her name and told me the wait time on the phone would be "several hours" were her...
