Sandy Smoke and Vape Shop — Local services in Sandy

Whenever I end up breaking any of my Glass or end up running out of Butane this shop is my First and my Number ONE choice to stop at. As I am making my way through Sandy heading home up to Brightwood I will always pull into Dajry Queen and grab myself either 1 or 2 LARGE OREO BLIZZARDS WITH SPRINKLES BLENDED IN and then once I finish going through the drive thru I will loop around and park in the far corner of Dairy Queen right across from the shop. This makes it super easy to park and it gives me an excuse to get Blizzards haha. But once I walk into the Shop it is almost always The Shops Owner who greets me. Sometimes there is other workers but it’s rare. The Owner Is such a genuinely kind person and he is extremely helpful. He is one of those people who will greet you and ask you if you need anything but once he asks and if you say no he doesn’t follow you around making you feel pressured or like you’re untrustworthy and have to be watched instead he will continue doing whatever he was already doing but he will tell you to just ask if you need anything or any help. Whenever it’s time to get something or to ask a question he doesn’t make you sit there forever while he finishes something he just comes strait to you and offers all of his attention 100% unless he is already talking with a customer who was there before you which is totally understandable. He will get you your product or your item and every single time we get to the register and he says the price it ends up being way cheaper than I was expecting . Since I have been going in there a decent amount lately him and I have became friends i would say and he always hooks me up and tells me the new things he has but never tries to upsale you anything and if there’s something he personally does not like than he will be honest even if it loses him money. The shop is also very organized and it’s very clean. He was just reorganizing and adding in the final things the last time I went in and it was looking amazing ..! All together I would genuinely rate this place a 5/5 and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL SHOP OWNERS AND NEXT TIME YOU MAKING YOUR WAY THROUGH SANDY I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND MAKING A QUICK STOP AND CHECKING OUT THE SHOP ! Even if you don’t plan on buying anything just go check it out and you might end up finding something you normally buy only for slot better deal...

Happened to be going through town and decided to grab a couple disposables. Intended to buy a couple that I had had good experience with, but was strongly persuaded to purchase something else, and I decided to get one of each, with the promise that if I tried it, and it had an issue, it would be replaced. It was 150% the price of the other. I purchased both devices and went to my car parked directly out front to try them both, followed the instructions clearly written on the packages before using. The device I intended to purchase worked great, the one I was recommended was immediately burnt. I have been using disposables for multiple years, and had this issue only a few times, every other shop has been helpful in replacing the device. I went right back in, and said us was burnt, and it would be nice to have it replaced. The worker asked if she could try it, and also noticed it was burnt, but said ‘unfortunately since you went out the door before trying it, I can’t do anything. Also it’s still hitting, so I can’t do anything for you, and we just switched the rule so we can’t take these back’ which goes directly against what I was told when following the recommendation. Basically, I was out of luck and had wasted the money, there was no offer whatsoever to attempt to keep their word. I did not try the device in the store as it isn’t legal, and I would have had to wait multiple minutes extra in there when they were already busy. Overall, there are dozens of other shops I’ve had no issues with, that have always taken care of me, and I’d recommend going elsewhere if at all possible.

So, originally when this place opened, I had a glowing review of this place, it's kind and knowledge employees, great prices, and good overall vibe. But, that has sadly taken a completely 180. It appears that all of the employees that worked there have been fired and replaced with the owner running things full-time. I can't say as to why, but what I can say is how this changed everything that was good about this place. He's extremely rude, unwelcoming, and unprofessional. The last three times I've been in there it has been something that either made me uncomfortable or frustrated. Ranging from screaming at somebody on his phone about God knows what, or simply being unavailable to speak to as his conversation was more important. Being rude to other customers when me or my Mom asked legitimate questions, and being extremely stingy by underweighing Kratom. When asked about a box of Kratom extract that didn't have info on the box and asked to open it to read the info on the bottle, he immediately started getting hostile and combative. It's sad to see all this as I once considered this the defacto headshop to go to in Sandy. Now, all I can say is, if you'd like to be treated with respect as a customer, go to the recently opened All Stop or Rip City. They have have problems, but you can at least feel comfortable and support local business that deserve it....
