Noah's Ark Thrift Shop — Local services in Sanibel

This place is Amazing!!! Daily there are so many treasures. There's an entire volunteer team tirelessly labeling, organizing and displaying such diverse items from full sets of cutlery to kids bicycle seats, tuxedos to lamp shades, home electronics to jewellery. I can hardly believe my eyes. The prices are already so inexpensive. Yet, the other day they ran a Half Off Sale on Everything. I purchased an entire bag of items (new books, Hugo Boss sweater, sea shells, wine bottle aerator, wrapping paper, Google Home device, etc.). I then went next door to The Bean and had a coffee at which point I realized I forgot one of my items at the check out. The cashier was so kind and had set it aside with a label including my name and a description of me so other volunteers could identify me when I came back. It only took them a moment from walking in the door. They invited me to look around and see if they're was anything else I may want..I thought it wasn't possible to find anything new as only an hour or so had passed from when I was they're last. I took the recommendation anyway. Sure enough, they're was significant turnover even within that hour, I found some other treasures. The Ark is more than a thrift shop, it's a community center. Their clothing, shoes, furniture, and other merchandise are incredible buys for customers. There are often daily sales, not posted in advance. Many people arrive for vacation with light suitcases, knowing they can buy most of what they need at the Ark. Residents shop frequently and can count on new "finds" frequently. Hours and days of operation change with season, but they are posted on the St. Michael's sign on...

This is always a stop on our vacay to Sanibel! The store is clean, well managed and the VOLUNTEERS that we have encountered there have all been friendly and welcoming! Thank you for giving of your time and thank you to the persons who donate their goods...
