I have been going to The Fix to buy and sell sneakers for a few years now and will continue to do so. Their website is very well maintained and up to date with what is available in store, I recommend filtering by size. The store itself is always very clean, and the staff has always been friendly and welcoming. The Fix is the only location in the area with such a huge variety of sneakers on display, and I can't help but stop and browse the wall every time I go in.
Many reviews mention the difference in pricing when compared to Stock X and similar services, but it is not a fair comparison at all. The Fix's pricing is very fair for a local brick and mortar business and the services they provide.
When it comes to buying, many view Stock X's Lowest Asking price as the price they expect everyone else to sell at. This is not a fair comparison, as Stock X and similar services depend heavily on sellers undercutting each other in order to sell faster. When buying online, it can take weeks to receive the sneakers as they have to be shipped to an authenticator first. GOAT's instant ship option is much faster (typically 1 week or less) but the increase in price aligns it with brick and mortar stores like The Fix and carry the added risk of shipping. I usually know what I want before going in, and I verify on the website that they have the size I want.
The selling experience has always been smooth at The Fix, and I have recently sold a pair of PSG 4's a few days ago. I walked in without an appointment, the shoes were looked over, I was given an offer which I accepted, and the money was in my PayPal account before I walked away from the counter. PayPal does charge a 3% fee, which any legitimate and professional business should be enforcing for transactions like these. This experience is in contrast with Stock X and similar services, which can take weeks to get paid since the seller does not get their payout until the items are shipped, received, and authenticated at a minimum. That is also assuming the items do not get lost or stolen in transit, which results in more delays and headaches. While The Fix does not pay out as much as if I had sold the sneakers myself, they provide a level of convenience and efficiency that...
Read more1st off fix kicks isnt your average shoe store. What this place is a store that sells shoes that have value that can increase over time because the demand , limited made, or they have a big following which makes it collectable. Jordans , yeezy by kanye west, lebron james are some of which increase in value over time. I cant believe people actually complain about how much they were offered for there used shoes. Go and try selling them to a pawnshop they would laugh, or better yet sell them to stock x regardless where you get rid of them your gonna lose somehow. Stock x has a wait time plus they are going to take there service cut too. Your lucky if a pawn shop wants them new or used. With the fix kicks you get your money on the spot and more if you take the store credit payout. Whenever a item is collectable there really isnt a fixed price its whatever a person wants to buy it at. So if your not getting what you want dont sell them give it sometime to gain more value. If you think a business is gonna pay 10 percent less then what market value how do you expect a business to survive off of 20% profit really. You got to be kidding in the bayarea thats not going to happen. People shop at 7 eleven for convenience and the wait time is usually short we dont buy at 7-11 because its cheap because its quick. Before anyone gives a bad review on fix kicks you need to understand the type of business and the market they are in. I feel lucky to have this type of business local in my city. Customer service has certainly change for the better employees are more outgoing and very courteous. I love this place and I will continue to do business with them. You cant find another business of its class and size and be able to see and touch the shoe you want to buy locally. We do have other businesses like it but you will be looking at a tablet so you better know what you want to buy. Thank u FiX kicks and the awesome staff you have. We cant...
Read moreThe store is cool inside but the show is run by two lowballers. The bigger guy will straight up cook you on prices the “quotes” are so garbage bro.. the other guy with the puffy beard looks nicer usually smiles more but he will cook you too all bad.. they lowball crazy and then flip the shoes for almost double what they paid you and by the way they do PayPal only and you pay a 3% fee then end up getting tax forms to file taxes so that sucks all their shoes are taxed heavily keeping it 100 with yall the prices are HIGH they charge like $150+ over market (lowest ask) but they look at highest bid and payout when giving offers if you take new shoes you’ll get cooked used you’ll get deep fried.. make the trip to Newark but be careful they started lowballing there too offering payout all of a sudden but that’s for new it’s good to sell used there.. there’s another spot down the road/street from fix that is more fair with buying new/used and you don’t need PayPal with those guys just do your reasearch and know that in the area there is two other shops don’t take the L and sell to these guys if you know your shoes are worth more after all like the wizard beard guy says “We’re a business, if you don’t like it sell on your own” use mercar and yEbay to sell it’s way better but remember the threshold right now is rumored to be 5k so stay under that stock is coo too for new just make sure no flaws etc these guys at the fix also try to pass off worn/tried on/re laced as DS so if your picky make sure they are actually factory dead stock also they have way too many employees definitely been in there and they all staring at me especially if you the only one in there kinda wack but ya shop around and if you know you can flip it for more then do it not really that hard there’s also some big time resellers all over the 408 that buy and sell from their whips they even pay better sometimes too look...
