I NEVER leave bad reviewsâŚ. yet, I guess there is a first time for everything, eh?!
Avoid this store if youâre not into RUDE VIBES and low, NEGATIVE ENERGY. Wow. I assume she was the owner, and Iâm astonished by her bad attitude⌠I should have read the rest of these reviews before I stopped by - itâd have saved me the trouble.
I walked in at 4:38 and I knew well exactly what time they closed, because I rushed to get there, and I genuinely hoped to find something I wanted quickly - which I DID.
There was a really cute purse that I actually did want, and would have bought - had the owner (or whoever she was) been kind, or even mildly pleasant and welcoming toward me. Instead, when I asked her a question, she replied with a âNope! We just sell clothes.â as if âhow dare I bother her with such an inquiryâ while she hung clothes, and then finished up with, âand just so you know, we close at 5.â with a wretched tone, like she really could not care less about literally anyone else on the entire planet. I replied with âI know.â She said, âoh okay, well a lot of people DONâT knowâŚâ It was such an uncomfortable experience, and I wanted to cry, because Iâm a highly sensitive person. I decided right then and there that I would NOT be purchasing the oh so adorable handbag that I wanted. I tried one dress on, really just to go into the dressing room and compose myself after the shock of such vile angst from this woman.
Then, I politely said âthank youâ, and walked over to the door at 4:58. As I was leaving I looked down and said âThatâs a cute rug.â as she was unlocking the door to let me out. Her reply to that complement was another rude toned âYep!â - when the kind, and civil reply from a shop owner to a patron at the very least should have been âthanks!â UNsane.
My family owned a successful business for 60 years, and we wouldnât dream of treating customers like this - or any humans at all - even non-customers! I will NEVER set foot inside this bad vibes store again. Seriously. Cold, rude, UNPLEASANT. I was kind, polite, I intended to spend money, and also hurry. She was the worst!
Please, LOVE YOURSELF, and spare yourself the unbearable energies and avoid Act 2, they truly donât deserve YOUR...
Read moreThis place totally rocks.. The best pieces in my wardrobe have come from here. The owner has a great eye and you will find everything from haute couture to deep vintage to hippie princess (and everything in between!). It pays to spend a long time at this store because there are layers of treasures. The sale racks (one outside and one in the back) are off the charts. I am mystified by the review that complained about the prices... brand new Sesto Neucci black suede wedge ballet shoes for $18...Marika Naak bias cut full length lavender shift in perfect condition for $12...Cut Loose blue linen peasant vest $20...Cut Loose black cotton ragamuffin cardigan $12...the list goes on and on. I am always so transfixed by the clothing and shoes that I rarely even get to the fabulous bags, belts, hats, scarves, and jewelry! I also adore the ambiance of this place: great music, easy parking, and super nice owner and staff. I consign my clothing here too and have only had good experiences. In order to support the recovery of the environment, it is more important then ever to buy second hand clothing. I still occasionally buy new items from Spirit, Sense, and Workshop (great stores, epic sales) but Act 2 is...
Read moreRUDE! Horrible customer service. Yelled at customers for being on their phones. I was looking at clothes on a rack that were being saved or not for sale (there was no sign or indication) and was yelled at as well. There were some nice employees but the management (owner I believe) was a nightmare to shop around. They also called police on a homeless person who was near their shop, not causing in harm or bothering anyone, trying to stay out of the rain and warm. The shopping environment is not friendly nor welcoming. I thought it might've been a bad day, but every time I came back, which was several times, I had an unpleasant experience. I found amazing pieces but everything is VERY overpriced. For the poor treatment of their customers alone, I suggest going elsewhere. There is nothing particularly special about this thrift store and so many amazing thrift stores around town who treat customers...
