Honest Reviews We visited for a late lunch around 2pm. The restaurant is located off a major street and easy to locate. The restaurant looks nice from the outside and decorated nicely inside, the bar looks really nice. The restaurant was empty when we arrived. There was 2 waitresses and 2 waiters walking around meaning plenty of help. A male host who pointed out our waitress and who offered a location area to sit. We were served chips and salsa that was pretty good the chips weren't burnt and they were salted properly. We ordered small shrimp cocktails for appetizers and a discada for lunch. The shrimp cocktail was small & not too many shrimp in it, the sauce was lacking flavor. I had to add ketchup tobasco salt & pepper. The discada had no flavor and was extremely watery and undercooked. They do serve the discada with a little burner to keep the meal warm but it's not intended to cook the meal. I did point all of these things out to the manager which it appeared he didn't care. The restaurant is nice and I could see a lot of movement in the kitchen appearing to have plenty of help in the kitchen and outside on the dinning floor. We were never offered refills and the waiters took for ever to bring the manager when we complained about the meal. The manager obviously didn't care either way about the meals being undercooked or it being super watery and lacking flavor. I did notify all the staff I would leave a negative review and they shrugged it off. It is sad to see the lack of work ethic or dedication. There's so many restaurants in Santa fe and surrounding areas. Reviews are important to owners and new customers. We weren't offered a solution or an explanation. I had been told to visit this restaurant because of its easy to access location when visiting Santa fe and it's authentic Mexican vibe. But I guess I never caught on that no one referenced the food. Every restaurant has its good day and bad day. So I tried the restaurant twice, a week apart because of its location, appearance and was extremely disappointed that both times I was met with similar experiences. This review is in reference to my second visit. The first visit was no different unfortunately. It might have been a good restaurants at one point but unfortunately the time has passed. Maybe the owners will pay attention to customer reviews and address the problems with the staff. The location is great and the appearance of the restaurant is too nice to lose its customer service and...
Read moreGreat atmosphere! Ample space. We hit the preferred time for those ready to eat. We were seated right away to drinks and chips served with a bangin' salsa. Went through two - three baskets of chips in a snap.
My husband ordered chicken chimichanga that came with a red sauce. He prefers the white sauce which is more of a cheese topping. He should have asked. I'm sure they could've made adjustments. He still enjoyed it. Fluffy, fried to perfection. Served with beans and rice. Filling portions. I ordered something simple, bursting with flavor – gambas con tocino (bacon wrapped shrimp). Two broiled shrimp stuffed with cheese and bacon (four/five per order). Comes with a house rice and beans. Would've loved jalapenos served on the side. Again, I didn't ask. We ordered shrimp fajitas to go. They were ok. Served with jalapeno, onions and bell peppers, beans and house rice. Small portions of cheese/guacamole/sour cream.
Mark had a Corona and I was adventurous, tucking into a Sangria-like drink called the VAMPIRO – loaded with spirits and...
Read moreTwo large tables came in after us and left before us. A lady at the table behind us found a hair in her food and their server just pulled out the hair and handed the plate back to her! I ordered the Adelitas Enchiladas and the sauce and chicken were cold and the chicken was full of bones. The Chips were burnt and had horrible flavor and I thought I was going to fall out of the seat because ALL the chairs we were sitting on were wobbly and were seconds from breaking. My wife ordered the “burger burrito” I forgot what it was called but basically just a burger patty and beans in a tortilla with a little bit of red sauce and her salad was wilted and had black spots. If it didn’t take over an hour to receive our food we would’ve sent it back but instead we just left hungry and with less money. Over priced food that we could’ve cooked better ourselfs using an easy bake oven and a lighter. Worst restaurant I have eaten at in my entire life. I gave one star because our waitress was nice and the...
