People regularly speed through this lot way above the 5MPH speed limit endangering everything & everyone that passes through here--Maybe because there are only two(2) speed limit signs posted near the entrance compared to sixteen(16) hours of operation signs in the lot--Santa Monica City Planner Henry Servin seems to think its more important for people to know when it opens & closes than the maximum speed at which they can drive a motor vehicle through it--There is also not one(1) marking for the crosswalk that passes through it from the bike path to Barnard Way--Not one(1)--The paint marking it as a crosswalk is faded and Mr Servin absolutley refuses to install ANY markings of ANY kind whatsoever to encourage motorists to SLOW DOWN--I suggested speed bumps at the crosswalk but Mr Servin replied to me in an email that sand would collect there making clean-up too costly--Well the lot looks like a sand dune currently due to the extreme windy conditions a few weeks ago and no one has been in a hurry to clean it up either--Sand collects everywhere these days Mr Servin--That should not be an impediment to enhanced pedestrian safety effortsđ¶Take The Friendly Road Mr. Servin--For A Safe...
