There are two companies I have enjoyed buying products from over the last several years because they stand behind their products. The first is Patagonia. Their products are exceptionally well-made and they also fit a profile of social responsibility, which is not important to me, but never hurts.
The second is Lululemon:
Lululemon Athletica (NASDAQ: LULU) is owned by 87.58% institutional shareholders, 27.95% Lululemon Athletica insiders, and 0.00% retail investors. Dennis J. Wilson is the largest individual Lululemon Athletica shareholder, owning 17.23M shares representing 14.38% of the company. Dennis J. Wilson's Lululemon Athletica shares are currently valued at $4.11B.
Just so you know none of us own any of it because they have no retail investors.
I spend much of my time Out of the country and I have a quality defect with a pair of $80 sport shorts that I have. In the past, I have gone to Lululemon and without hesitation, they have replaced deffective products. when I purchased these, it was my understanding that they’re quality guarantee was for life. Perhaps I am not right at that however I’ve never had an issue before. Nevertheless I went to Lululemon in Coconut point mall in Estero, Florida and while waiting to do the exchange, I found two more pair of shorts each for $78 each, which I wished to buy, thinking I would exchange one for the defective product, which is no longer made, And add to my wardrobe with one additional. In the country I live I live with minimal Close as part of my quest to be a more minimalist and less consuming oriented individual.
It took about 20 minutes, after driving 30 minutes there and 30 minutes back 3 employees and after all that time they told me they couldn’t find my purchase on my account. I had purchased two more and had resigned myself to the fact that they weren’t going to be to honor their quality guarantee on the third piece when what appeared to be a manager rang up my new purchase. I said to her and what account did you put this under and she said to me I didn’t put it on any account.
I am not sure anybody else reading this would understand, but if she just told me that she couldn’t find my last purchase associated with my account and then she takes my money to purchase two more shorts and not assign them to account. Does anybody else understand the problem here
I’ve been called lululemon customer service to complain about this incredibly poor performance of their employees, and I told them when I purchased those shorts there was a different type of warranty, which I thought was lifetime, I was told that the policy has changed in the last year and that applied to me even though when I purchased them, the policy was different. I was beyond upset, and of course, the customer service employee hung up on me.
I have chosen to spend most of my time living outside of the USA , the reason I choose to do that is because I have found that nearly everything I encounter in the USA is a lie a cheat or a thief. Lululemon is all of these things.
And yes, Vote with your pocketbook just like I do because I am immediately , got a refund for the two new pieces of clothes their prices and their offshore construction of them probably represented $150 gross profit and their customer service to address my situation cost them about 30 minutes of their labor, which unfortunately probably represents another $25 of wages and benefits. ...
Read moreVisited this store today to ask about getting a pair of pants fixed. I was met with a very rude male employee who told me that store doesn’t do repairs (when I’ve had 2-3 items repaired there before) because the tailors would get “too backed up”. When I asked when they stopped doing repairs, because I’ve had items fixed there before, he could not give me an answer, and instead very arrogantly tried to blame me for putting my leggings in the dryer (never have), improper use (don’t know how I could improperly wear pants, but okay) and that I could take them to my own tailor.
If the answer is that the store can’t repair them, that’s fine. But the way he handled this situation was extremely condescending and inappropriate, especially for someone in a customer service position. I’m very disappointed and shocked at that way I...
Read moreSo bring a return in after Christmas with receipt to make exchange. Clerk decides to issue gift card vs credit our credit and for some reason. I might add at the time we thought this could be an issue in the future. Received new item it doesn’t work and now tuff luck to you because it was purchased on a gift card. It was the store employee who did the exchange this way when we had receipt in hand. Store manager says nothing they can do and says it’s our fault we allowed employee to issue gift card. WOW just wow! Stay the heck away from this store! How do stores stay in business with customer service like this? Store put this return on gift card to scam us when it should have been credited back to our credit card in the first place! Be alert people! Store is...
