Can’t believe how terrible of a service the manager Desi was. If that’s even her name. I came In for an exchange in a comforter set that came with a missing pillow sheet. I’m handicap so I have my daughter helping me set the bed up and as we set all the sheets, we noticed we were one pillow short. My daughter, only ten years old, decided to lay her head on it just to test it out. I called home goods to ask if I can only pick up the missing piece but they insisted I exchange the entire package. So I did. I sent my nephew in to exchange the item and told him I already spoke with someone up front. They will take care of him. Turned out my daughter laying her head on the sheet cancels the exchange bc they found two hairs of hers on the sheet. The manager “Desi” declined giving her last name and said if I had anything to say; corporate knows who she is. Store #229 has been my home store for years and I refuse to visit ever again. Desi needs to be retrained how to handle situations bc she was EXTREMEY rude as I heard the entire convo over a FaceTime call. TERRIBLE...
Read moreI love this home goods they have so many things you can usually find doubles HOWEVER, one of the managers is super rude I had purchased a rolling cart with drawers and after I paid and was leaving I realized that it was missing a drawer I walked back in a noticed the same EXACT rolling cart with the drawers except it was dented in a corner and was off to the side I asked an employee who then called the manger if I could just have one of the drawers from that cart the manager said there was no way possible to do that and if I wanted it then I would have to exchange the whole cart… which made no sense but I wanted the cart to be complete so I agreed then I asked if she would be willing to take a small discount off for the dent and she said definitely not. She was rude throughout the entire experience and I couldn’t understand the big deal considering it was the exact match and looked like it was going to be marked for clearance anyways… would honestly not return if I had to deal with this...
Read moreHomeGoods is my happy place and also the reason I now own 14 throw pillows, 3 Himalayan salt lamps, and a decorative bowl I have no practical use for but had to have. I went in to “just browse” and blacked out somewhere between the seasonal decor aisle and the abstract art section. When I came to, my cart was full, my soul was full, and my bank account was… lighter.
Every visit is a treasure hunt. Will I find a handwoven basket? A gold pineapple sculpture? A glass fox wearing a monocle? Probably. Will I buy it? Also probably. The staff is always friendly, the deals are solid, and there’s this weird thrill of knowing once something’s gone, it’s gone. It’s like retail roulette.
Honestly, HomeGoods isn’t just a store it’s a lifestyle, a spiritual journey, and maybe a mild addiction. But it’s cheaper than therapy and makes my living room look like a Pinterest board, so I regret nothing. Long live the chaos, long live...
