I ordered lunch and marked my salad no bacon. Picked up my salad went to the office and there was bacon in the salad. So I drove back frustrated and wanted a refund. The young lady came to me and asked if I needed help, I explained my issue. Here comes Angela or Nicole TEAM LEAD! Mind you she is supposed to be the face of the company and customer service. This is Tuesday July 18th 12:45 PM for the regional manager of zupas in case he is interested how his store is being handled. Angela approaches and says "what's the problem?" I pointed to the label "it says no bacon" and it's full with bacon. Angela says where is bacon show it to me?! RED FLAG right there it shows incompetence and unprofessionalism of Angela! I said show you what? You want me to open it for you and show you your mistake? I opened it and show her the bacon bits she just disregarded it and says okay I will do the refund thank you ! ( no empathy that I wasted my lunch while making her business, no apologies nothing at all true story) I wasn't yelling or insulting her I was frustrated but calm just FYI. I said okay do the refund and give me the receipt please, she said we don't have refund receipts it's online order and I will do it later. I said do it now please and give me the receipt, she repeated that they don't have refund receipts. Than I said just process the refund now not later , you realise you ruined my lunch. She did not care at all which tells you what type of person we are dealing with even though I PAID for my lunch that she ruined! And I did not even insult yell or made a scene for her to be giving me an attitude and being mean. So she goes in the back comes 2 minutes later says your refund will take 5 to 6 days I turn around and start leaving, she says oh now you don't want your receipt?! I turn around and say yes I do but you said you can't give me, she is looking me in the eyes and throws in the garbage peace of paper( receipt) and says to me yea I can't give you and walks proudly towards the salad bar. Read moreI love their food. But this last time has left me uninterested. I live almost 2 hrs away, so when I come here I'm almost always taking home to enjoy the rare times I'm in the area. I ordered food for my son and I. He opens his in the car as I'm pulling out and he has someone else's sandwich. So I go back inside. The girl there was chit chatting away to a co worker that was in line to order food. (I know he was a co worker cause i seen him behind the table the first time I was in). She's trying to multi task but you can tell her Japper jaws are getting in the way of her working productively. After waiting forever for her to stop her conversation and pay attention to her next customer, I politely tell her we received the wrong sandwich. It was supposed to be turkey and cheese only, and this sandwich had everything on it. She sighs, rolls her eyes, and acted like it was the worst task of her day to fix a sandwich that was done incorrectly. She hands my new sandwich, i tell her ty have a nice day where in return I receive silence. Extremely rude. Moving on...I get home ready to eat my grilled cheese as they are the best grilled cheese I ever had and what do I find? THE WRONG SANDWICH!!! why the heck i didn't think of looking at mine as well before leaving is beyond me. 50$ order and neither of us could recieve the correct sandwich. They seemed extremely disorganized as I had to debate with the cashier on what my order was because she tried to keep charging me for items I didn't purchase. At least the soups were right. But I only eat that with my sandwich. Point to be made, make sure your food is your food since their organization and staff attitude is no better...
Read moreI came here 3 times in the last week. I enjoy the flavor of the dressings on the salads. The reason I’m leaving 1 star, the portions are so different based on who makes your salad.
Day-1 salad toppings were barely there. I got 3 half cherry tomatoes in my Cobb. Asked for more olives and was told it would be 79 cents. Salad was falling out from under the cap.. very sloppy. Flavor was good.
Day 2- portions seemed fair for the price. Different person making my salad this time. Actually fully filled the spoon with toppings and would look at the salad to make sure it looked full and would add more based on judgement. I didn’t need to ask for extra anything, because I felt the salad was adequately made.
Day 3- manager made my salad. Literally didn’t even fill the 1 inch spoon with toppings and when I asked her to please add a bit more, she told me it would be extra. By the time my salad was rung up, it was $17!! I asked to speak to a manager about the inconsistencies. I guess she went on break.
I can’t go back after feeling ripped off. If you want me to pay that price for a salad, at least top it properly and make it look appetizing and filling! I gave it a try 3 times this week. You could have had a regular customer, but you ruined it by being CHEAP!
