There were too many issues with this restaurant to put under any one category so I will attempt to break it down here. Service- This is without a doubt the most horrible service I have ever received and honestly the most incompetent staff I have ever seen. To begin we came into the store at 5:45 to retrieve the online order we placed at 5:10. The woman at the counter told us our order was done and handed me the receipt while she walked to the shelf to grab it. She comes back and says it wasnât actually done but the order was in the oven. That it would only be a few minutes. We should have known that wasnât the case when the customer before us was complaining about how long she had been waiting. The woman at the front counter had to ask for my name several times when she had the receipt in her hand with my name on it. No one could figure out where our order was or what was included. At one point the front woman brought us the cheese sticks and poppers and thanked us for waiting for our order. However, she didnât bring the pizza. So we had to wait... again. We ended up waiting over 40 minutes in store after waiting 35 minutes to drive to the store for a carry out order that was placed an hour and twenty minutes prior. At the end all the manager managed to say was âsorryâ.
Staff- The staff was clueless. Orders were backed up, a delivery driver stood in one place in the corner waiting on his order for over 20 minutes and not once moved to help anyone else, the front service woman dropped a pizza box on the floor and then put it back on the shelf to be used, out of several employees not a single one was wearing gloves, no one had a hair net, two were not wearing face masks, one without a face mask was making dough AND WIPED HER NOSE WITH HER HAND, that same girl walked out of the restaurant with another woman following and then quit as the other woman came back in with her apron, the front desk woman started answering the phone telling customers the wait time on orders was an hour and thirty minutes âifâ they still wanted to place an order (I watched you lose four-five customers by her manner of addressing that) and not a single person was double checking what needed to be done in order to catch up.
We should have never dealt with this poor service and Iâm honestly surprised the store has managed to stay open with how poorly it is run and all the...
Read moreVERY DISAPPOINTED. At one time Papa Johnâs was my favorite pizza place. They have now lost my business. 1) The app wouldnât work - so I had to go inside. 2) There weâre only 2 people working, and it appeared the woman was training the kid... obviously she wasnât teaching him about how to work with the customer for a positive customer experience. I asked if there were any specials, and she curtly told me no. So I was forced to order a customize pizza off the board, where there were no prices. 3) As consuming marinara causes my stomach to be upset, I asked for half sauce, half no sauce. She told me they couldnât do that. WHAT! How difficult can half sauce, half no sauce be? Iâve NEVER been told that by a pizza place before. Consequently, I asked if they could do very, very little sauce, and I was assured they could. 4) So I ordered an XL pizza (because larges are now only 14â and shrink to 12â after cooking) with very light sauce, mushrooms, onions and Italian sausage. 5) I paid the SHOCKING $26+ for the pizza. HOLY COW $26 FOR ONE PIZZA. 6) She then told me it would be 30 minutes. When I didnât move, she looked at me pointedly and said it would be 30 minutes - in a dismissive tone. So I left. I returned 30 minutes later to pick up my pizza, and we went to a park to eat it. 7) upon opening the box I was surprised to see a full helping of marinara sauce in the pizza, some cheese, and so little toppings they couldnât be tasted. I took a few bites, but couldnât handle that much sauce, so I tried to scrape it off, unsuccessfully, TOO MUCH SAUCE! So I pulled off the toppings and wiped as much sauce off as I could, replaced the toppings and tried to eat it. I now had marinara all over me. I tried reduce the sauce on the next piece by wiping it on the box lid. Still extremely messy. (Did I mention I donât like to get messy). After that, I gave up. 8) all the while I was complaining about how perturbed I was with Papa Johnâs and the pizza. 9) I paid well for this very disappointing experience at Papa Johnâs Scottsboro, Al. I HOPE THIS IS NOT THE NEW PAPA JOHNâS EXPERIENCE. I guess Iâll never know, as I am smarter than to pay that much for such a disappointing experience. :((((((( ps. Upon review of the app when I was finally able to open it, there were 9...
Read moreI donât usually right reviews like this, but this is frustrating and needs attention.
When we went to pick up an order last time, the worker was so high that they made us wait an extra 15 minutes because they didnât realize our pizza was already done and ready on the rack. On top of that, they had asked for the name multiple times, and my boyfriend thought he was having a stroke because they kept repeating back the wrong name. It was actually another worker that realized our pizza was ready and passed it to him.
And then today, when I placed an order for delivery in advance (before the store opened at 1 pm) it said it was supposed to arrive by 2:00 pm. At 2:05, I called and spoke to someone who said since DoorDash hadnât picked up the order, so they would close up and deliver it since I am only 8 mins away (I donât have my car atm so I would have gotten it if I could). At 2:22 pm, I get a notification from DoorDash telling me they are on their way. So I was lied to and made to wait more time. Thatâs ridiculous. Management needs to get this place in order. The pizza was finally...
