American Legion Post591 — Local services in Seaside

If I could I'd give this place a -5 stars. I rented the place for a party, contract and all. Paid the rental fee in cash along with the cleaning deposit. I had to use the DJ that was already scheduled to perform on Friday nights plus pay her a fee on top of it. I hired the kitchen staff to make a birthday cake. The party was fun for the kids but we had problems with the bartender and the patrons from the bar, coming over to our party, taking our food over to the bar without permission and dancing at our party. The DJ, didn't supply anything but the speakers, one of the guest actually had to plug in his Ipod because we needed music. The cake cost me $75 and it was a Box cake mix, I couldn't believe it. Then to top it off, they wouldn't give me my cleaning deposit back after we stayed and cleaned everything, even the bathrooms. They said that we should have had security, which was waived in the contract. The place was a complete rip off. No thanks...

Very nice dance area and ample meeting venue. Exterior is unassuming on street corner amidst commercial shops. Sunday’s they offer generous breakfasts. Wednesday’s and Friday’s there are dances — Wednesday featuring line dancing with instruction. Friday evenings Peninsula Swings provides basic East Coast Swing lesson at 7:00 followed by social dance 8:00 to 10:00. Location is easy to find with ample parking in lot. Lounge area has fireplace and friendly bartenders. Exterior isn’t well lit so can be easy to miss after dark. Call the Post directly about cost of breakfast & dance...

Got to love this place ! They are doing it right face masks required except when sitting at you spaced table with your group, temp taken upon arrival, order taken by a masked waiter , good burgers, hot links or salmon burger , drinks and adult drinks at a good price served outside .
