I shop here frequently and appreciate most of the staff. I’m friendly with many regulars, and the location is incredibly convenient since I live just up the street. However, the owners seriously need to reevaluate their pricing strategy. I was utterly shocked when I stopped in to buy a gallon of milk for an outrageous $6.00. Typically, milk is around $3.00 per gallon in any grocery store, and I noticed this store carries the same brand that Costco sells for $3.98 for two gallons.
This pricing is unacceptable, and even a staff member expressed disbelief at the cost. I told them $6.00 is too expensive and speculated that the owners must be throwing away a lot of milk since no one in their right mind would pay that price. Unfortunately, you've just lost a longtime customer who has spent considerable money at your store for the sake of convenience. Moving forward, that convenience isn’t worth the excessive prices you're charging.
You need to do better, especially since your primary clientele consists of local customers. If you priced items more fairly, considering the needs of your community, you'd likely see an increase in business. Greed does not reflect well on a local business. Until your prices align with the value of what you’re selling, I won’t be back for any...
Read moreKeep an eye on what you're being charged for deli since it's not scanned, but manually entered. It was late and the tweakers in the parking lot were quite lively so after paying for my gas I stood by the door to wait for my teenage daughters who were purchasing some hot deli food. Just happened to be looking at the numbers as the guy was ringing them up and noticed he was double charging. I waited to see if it was a mistake and he'd take off the doubled items but no, he took the $20 bill from my daughter and handed her back some coins for two pizza sticks and a small bag of chips. So I instantly walk over as he's making the change and when I asked for a receipt the guy looked right at me as he threw it under the counter and said oh sorry. You have a thief working for you. He's short, bald, overweight and sweaty. I'm a local business owner and I'm just waiting for him to walk...
