Seaside Beach in Oregon is a coastal gem that offers a quintessential Pacific Northwest experience, perfect for both families and solo travelers. Stretching over three miles, the expansive sandy shore invites visitors to indulge in beachcombing, building sandcastles, or simply soaking up the sun with the sound of gentle waves in the background.

One of the highlights of Seaside Beach is its charming promenade, a 1.5-mile paved walkway that offers stunning ocean views and a delightful stroll past historical landmarks, vibrant shops, and inviting eateries. The iconic Seaside Aquarium, located along the promenade, is a must-visit, providing an intimate look at local marine life and a chance to feed the resident seals.

For those seeking adventure, the nearby Tillamook Head provides excellent hiking opportunities with breathtaking vistas of the rugged coastline. The beach itself is perfect for surfing, kite flying, and even clam digging during low tide, ensuring there’s never a dull moment.

What truly sets Seaside Beach apart is its welcoming atmosphere. The town exudes a friendly, laid-back vibe that makes every visitor feel at home. Whether you’re enjoying a cozy bonfire on the beach at sunset or exploring the vibrant downtown area, Seaside Beach offers a perfect blend of relaxation and recreation. This Oregon coast treasure is not just a destination, but an...

Great spot for me and my friends to hang. We're PNW, PDX natives and this place is always a great place to hang and have a day trip. It's not far off from Lincoln City, Newport, Manzanita, Rock Way and other cities, but has a unique culture here like the other cities. It's a great, quiet and beautiful city where it emphasizes the beautiful scenery here. It might not be much, but it's valuable. It's worth being here and staying here for a day or more. She deserves the value for being a good valuable and scenic town :) A long with the rest of the coast. Oregon isn't as advanced for tourism in the West Coast, but it certainly deserves the push for how chill and casual this place is. Our West Coast is legit and better than Cali or Washington by an Olympic Mile... And Seaside is better with it vs most out our cities here. But don't disregard Lincoln City, Newport, Coos Bay, Astoria, etc., but make this town your stay if you stay on the coast. If not anywhere else or on top of this place, be here. It's a...

Nothing special from the administrators side...no close by restrooms, no showers for the beach goes, no stands or market carts for snacks close to the beach, to be easy and accessible for the tourists enjoying a day at the beach...

I've seen much better beaches in the so-called undeveloped third countries... check the beaches in the Philippines Thailand or on the Mediterranean Sea or the Black Sea... I've seen better beaches in Bulgaria and Romania and Russia and Greece than here...

Just the beautiful beach scenery won't cut it anymore in the 21 century...

Yet motels charge $400 per night, a small place making crepes charge minim $12-15 per crepes... it's outrageous to me how low the quality of services are yet outrageously expensive...

Just go to Cuba and you'll enjoy a better beach experience than here...

But most of Americans rarely travel outside their bubble so they don't know any better because they have nothing else to compare with...

You're better vacationing in Cuba...

Cute, foggy beach town. Little main Street with all of the typical touristy shops you would imagine. My favorite part was the beach at low tide, there were little ponds and rivers on the shore itself as well as tons of sea dollars. In the morning when the tide is low there are lots of people out digging for clams too. If you walk to the north side of the beach, you can see the Tillamook Rock with the lighthouse on it. (Harder to see in the fog but you can still make it out) I put my feet in the water, it was the middle of July and ice cold. So it's not really a swimmable beach and the waves look like they're pretty treacherous. But beautiful to walk on.

Growing up in Texas I had this cool uncle that I admired growing up. We used to go to his house on the weekends in watch movies. One of those movies that I remember was the goonies. One day my uncle packed up and left Texas for Oregon, and I hardly saw him after that; only on special occasions or deaths in the family. My travels finally brought me to the Oregon coast, and after all these years, I finally caught up with my uncle yet again and made some amazing memories. This time we walked the actual beach the goonies was filmed on instead of watching it on the screen. Life is good. Where will my journeys take me next?
