If coffee shops were Broadway shows, Kai would be the star of the performance. Every latte is a masterpiece, every interaction a standing ovation-worthy act of charm and care. Whether it’s remembering my obscure oat-milk-caramel-something order or expertly balancing customer chaos during the morning rush, Kai is the MVP of this café. They don’t just serve coffee—they serve vibes. Kai greets regulars like old friends and newcomers like they’re about to join the family. They’re the kind of person who makes you think, “If they’re not running this place yet, someone’s missing the plot!” So, to the powers that be: Kai deserves a promotion to manager. If they’re already the manager, they deserve a crown. Either way, this coffee shop runs on caffeine and Kai’s sheer brilliance. . Bravo!

BE CAREFUL of one random step as you exit the front door. Got the mocha(hot) and one iced. Overall the place is less sweet than Starbucks and Mercury coffee but still on the sweeter side. The drinks here are sweeter than woods coffee. For food which I haven't try, they offer pastries, sandwiches and omelettes. Place has wifi ( have to ask the barista for it). there are outlets around the shop with a variety of seating options. Parking in the area is all street and is tricky since lots of apartments and homes with no parking. one gender neutral bathroom.

Visited for breakfast and tea. Great space located at Capitol Hill. Very clean, friendly staff, great quality food. I ordered breakfast sandwich which was soft and warm with tea! It’s also good cafe to catch up with friends, read books, work on homeworks. Got nice tables! The door is always open to welcome people so indoor is a bit chilly. Other than that, it’s great! Definitely will visit again!

I've stopped in twice since Bequest opened in Capitol Hill. The staff is very nice, and the space is great with plenty of natural light and seating. The quality of the drinks is just not up to Seattle's high standards. There are plenty of places in the area to get a proper cappuccino, and I was hoping Bequest would add one more to that list, but they really need to work on dialing in the quality of standard drinks. They post some beautiful looking drinks on their Instagram, so perhaps they just haven't focused on the new Capitol Hill location.

Unfortunately their house made pastries can't compete with the good bakeries in the area. The banana bread was great, but their laminated doughs are underwhelming, and frankly all...

So glad this place opened up. We used to visit the previous cafe Queen Bee located here and were craving for a good coffee place in the neighborhood since it closed.

Bequest has a great selection of coffee and bakery items. We've now become locals and have tried a bunch from their menu including the delicious pastries (try the blueberry cream cheese turnover, Nutella twists and fresh scones). The Paninis and avocado toasts are wonderful. And of course those healthy acai bowls when it gets hot. We would definitely recommend their lattes and variations with turmeric and beet.

Wish they expand their food menu a bit more and organize events like...
