I had the occasion to use this ferry without a car and it was a great experience. The ferry was on schedule, there were very few people riding, and it made for a great way to get to Kingston from Seattle. The boat was in good condition and the crew were very helpful during the trip. Embarking and debarking was easy as it could be and while waiting there was a staff member who helped direct us to the ticket kiosk and which line to we needed to be in for our ferry. If we weren't traveling with a vehicle most times I would ride this ferry whenever we have the opportunity. We did have some fog on our crossing which slowed the trip just a few minutes but we did get to see a pod of orcas making their way through the Sound. I hope the Fast Ferry continues to run because I would gladly ride it again.

Pier 50 at the Seattle Dock offers a picturesque waterfront experience. With stunning views of Elliott Bay and the iconic Seattle skyline, it's a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll or a relaxing afternoon. The pier boasts a variety of seafood restaurants, providing a delectable taste of the Pacific Northwest. Visitors can also watch ferries glide in and out, adding to the maritime charm. While parking can be a challenge, the overall experience at Pier 50 is worth it for its scenic beauty and culinary delights.

Returned to Seattle in late May after the cruise to Alaska. Took the local ferry to West Seattle and back to see the city skylines. Definitely worth it, could go out to the bow and stern. Ferry was punctual and ride was smooth. We used the transit card but passengers can also use cash. Card top up machines are available too

I ride this fast ferry all the time to go to and from work. They are pretty good when they are running. But with only one boat and if it's cancelled, you either sit for almost two hours or you have to go to bainbridge island and take a bus all the way to Kingston. This messes up my evenings. I would not like to get home two hours later than I normally would thanks to...
