I recently had the pleasure of taking the Argosy Cruise at waterfront and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. The Argosy Cruise brings to life the breathtaking beauty of Seattle's waterfront and the stunning panoramic views of the city skyline.
The cruise was informative, fun, and relaxing. The onboard guide shared interesting facts and stories about Seattle's history, landmarks, and architecture, keeping us engaged throughout the trip. We were able to witness amazing views of attractions like the Space Needle, the Great Wheel, and the famous Pike Place Market, as the boat sailed through the waters of the Puget Sound.
The Argosy Cruise is perfect for all age groups. Kids had a great time spotting seals, sea lions, and even eagles, while adults got to sit back and enjoy the scenic views along with a beverage or two at the onboard bar. The boat was spacious and comfortable, and we were able to move freely from the enclosed cabin to the open top deck, which gave us a 360-degree view of the city.
The crew members were courteous and attentive, ensuring that everyone had a wonderful time. The entire experience was smooth from start to finish, and I can confidently say that the Argosy Cruise exceeded my expectations.
Overall, if you are visiting Seattle and looking to explore the city in a unique and enjoyable way, the Argosy Cruise at waterfront is a must-try. It is an excellent way to see the city from a different angle and make unforgettable memories. I strongly recommend the Argosy Cruise for anyone looking for a fun and informative...
Read moreThis was my 4th time visiting Seattle and I was looking for a quick excursion prior to boarding a 7 day long cruise from Seattle to Alaska. My Hubby and I were joined by our Son & his GF for Argosy's 1st Cruise out of the Seattle Harbor on a beautiful Saturday morning. The Boat leaves from Pier 55 which is super easy to find. Argosy is very helpful in providing information and instructions to boarding Guests. We first sailed north along the coast line and got to see the major waterfront sites of Seattle, including the Ferris wheel, Aquarium, the sculptures of water front park and sailed past our soon to be boarded cruise ship located at Pier 91. The second half of the Cruise was the south end which included the shipping yards which we were lucky to see the containers being off loaded from freighters onto the dock and containers being loaded onto to the freight. Pretty cool! The Argosy Crew provided local information and short stories on Seattle and the Harbor. Especially the cute duck story on how a container fell overboard in1992 and up to 10 years after the "accident" ducks were still floating to shore were people were logging them online. BTW, you can read the book: Ducks Overboard! I also now know why there are 2 stadiums in Seattle: Sports and Concerts ;) BTW, the Taylor Swift concert did cause a small 2.3 earthquake due to all her Fans dancing. YEP, I highly recommend the super friendly crew and immaculate boat. Remember, waste is NOT good for...
Read moreIt was a highlight of our cross country trip ( the long way) to take the ferry across the sound. We all liked it. The crowd was sparse and there was seating available at every level. Here's the coolest part: Our 33 foot class A RV fit on the ferry without any issues. It also saved us about 3 hours of drive so it was good that way too. It was a great weather day with a cool breeze and a slight drizzle. Very PNW like. They only charged us about $80 to ferry the RV and four of us plus the stow-away cat (my daughter's).
If you call the toll free number, some state office lady answers who doesn't know much about the ferry other than pricing and scheduling. I don't know how you get a hold of the folks running the ferries for real info so we were mentally ready to turn around and drive the narrows.
The staff helping park vehicles under the ferry was kind of rude and short but if you've ever directed traffic, you know it's no picnic so they get a pass in my mind. They deal with that all day. They should remember that some folks pulling into a ferry had never done that. I was kind of nervous pulling a 13 foot tall RV in but I followed a taller fishing boat on a trailer in so I didn't hold the attendant up. No biggie.
You get to choose if you want to stay in your car or walk around to get the views and the breeze or a snack....
