Mercer Mini Mart — Local services in Seattle

You may notice most of the good reviews are from several years ago when this place was under different management. Sadly the previous couple who ran it retired and the current owners give off an unfriendly and uneasy vibe, prices are unlisted and high. I get it, small markets usually charge more (usually you pay for convenience because they are far from other grocery stores), but it seems silly to not walk a few blocks to Safeway for the same products at half the cost. This place is run by humans, not robots; so, sure, life happens sometimes. But they have always been friendly, courteous, and genuinely interested in helping provide for the neighborhood. They consistently strive to make things better for their customers by interacting, asking questions, and listening to feedback, which is way more than I could say about the mega-corporate stores in the area.
