The Lifting Legacy in Lower Queen Anne is an amazing fitness community that has had a huge positive impact on my health and wellness. When I moved to Queen Anne, I was looking for a gym and saw the intro specials and great reviews about the gym on their website. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with wide smiles and cheer, making it clear that this was more than just a gym—it was a supportive and uplifting community. After just nine months of training here, I’m noticeably fitter, stronger, and more confident in my workouts. Year over year, I’ve gained lean mass by working out with my trainer, Alexy, who has been instrumental in my progress—not just physically but also in my mindset toward nutrition. Alexy helped me build a better relationship with carbs, which has been a game-changer for my energy levels and overall performance. When I first joined, my deadlift PR was just 95 pounds. By December, I hit an unbelievable new PR of 295 pounds! The strength gains I’ve made in such a short time are a testament to the expertise, programming, and encouragement from Alexy. What truly sets The Lifting Legacy apart is the incredible knowledge and support from both Alexy and Dan. The fitness industry can be riddled with myths and misinformation, but they make it their mission to help you bust those myths and give you the truth backed by science and experience. They provide expert guidance and encouragement every step of the way, helping you build a strong foundation and approach fitness in a way that truly works. One thing that has stuck with me is Alexy’s motto: “Failure is feedback.” This mindset shift has pushed me to embrace challenges and use setbacks as learning opportunities rather than roadblocks. Working with Alexy has also made me more consistent in going to the gym, something I struggled with in the past. Now, showing up feels like second nature, and I can confidently say I have never left a workout at The Lifting Legacy feeling unhappy. One of the things I appreciate most about this gym is that they don’t just hand out a standard workout plan. They take the time to understand where you’ve come from—your background, past injuries, and personal goals—and train you accordingly. The level of personalization and care they put into each program makes a huge difference in both progress and injury prevention. Beyond the training, The Lifting Legacy fosters an amazing community. They host fantastic events that bring people together, making it easy to connect with others who are also working toward their fitness goals. It’s more than just a gym—it’s a place where you feel supported, motivated, and part of something bigger. If you're looking for a gym that will challenge you, educate you, and welcome you with big smiles and even bigger encouragement, I can't recommend The Lifting Legacy enough! So if you're looking to build consistency, community or a challenge, YOU MUST VISIT THE LIFTING LEGACY!!! Edit - it’s been over a year now since I started training here and I want to callout how clean this place is. The owners clean every nook of the place. It is always refreshing to workout without locking eyes with a spider in the corner judging your form.

I’ve been training at Lifting Legacy with Daniel (co-owner) for 9 months, and my experience has been nothing short of transformational. Before coming here, I stuck to free weights and light barbells in small group classes, never quite knowing how to progress safely and effectively. That all changed when I started personal training with Daniel. His expert coaching has helped me master technically complex lifts like barbell squats, deadlifts, and barbell bench press—things I never thought I’d be confident doing. More than just adding weight to the bar, Daniel has taught me how to train smart, avoid injuries, and build strength in a sustainable way. He’s incredible at breaking movements down, figuring out the right cues to help me make corrections, and knowing exactly when to push and when to refine technique. Despite disruptions to my training regime due to travel/work/surgery, under Daniel’s guidance, my barbell back squats have jumped from 65-85 lbs to 175 lbs, and my Romanian deadlifts from 95 lbs to 195 lbs, all while improving depth, control, and technique. Plus, his holistic approach—incorporating warm-ups, mobility work, and tips on nutrition, sleep, and recovery—has helped me lift better, recover faster, and get stronger overall. One of the biggest breakthroughs for me was with bench press. I had hit a frustrating plateau where my upper body strength just wasn’t progressing, no matter how much I tried. Instead of just adding more weight, Daniel completely broke down my form, and focused on small details I had overlooked. Within weeks, I was lifting heavier (75 lbs to 100 lbs) with better control and confidence, something that had seemed out of reach before. This kind of attention to detail and being genuinely invested in his clients’ progress is what sets Daniel apart. He also continuously revises my program, keeps it challenging, and supports me relentlessly. He has truly made a difference, and training with him has been an absolute joy. Beyond the training itself, Lifting Legacy is simply an outstanding gym. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and truly invested in every member’s success. It’s a place that feels welcoming, motivating, and judgment-free, which makes all the difference when you’re pushing yourself to improve. They also host great community events and workshops—I’ve learned so much from their deep dives into squats, deadlifts, and even nutrition strategies. On top of all that, the gym is spotlessly clean and well-maintained—the team truly goes above and beyond. I cannot recommend Lifting Legacy and their amazing trainers enough! If you’re looking for a gym that fosters strength, knowledge, and community, this is the place to be.

I can’t say enough about the transformative experience I’ve had at The Lifting Legacy under the guidance of my Personal Trainer, Daniel. I first met Daniel a little over a year ago when he was working at another gym. When Daniel told me that he was starting his own gym, there was no question I would follow because Daniel is where the magic truly happens. Daniel has a rare gift for blending professionalism with personal connection. From our very first session, it was clear that Daniel is deeply invested in his clients’ success—not just their physical results but their overall well-being. His approach is holistic, focusing on both mental and physical health, which has been a game-changer for me. Daniel’s expertise is evident in his tailored workout plans. He took the time to understand my personal goals, limitations, and preferences, and designed a program that was both challenging and achievable. His attention to form and technique helped me avoid injuries and maximize my progress. Now, I am able to do things that I never thought were possible. The impact of working with Daniel and being part of The Lifting Legacy community has been profound. Not only have I seen significant improvements in my strength and endurance, but I’ve also experienced a boost in my confidence and mental clarity. Daniel’s encouragement helped me build a healthier relationship with exercise and self-care, transforming it from a chore into a source of joy and empowerment. What’s more, is Daniel (and Lex) are like family to me at this point. It’s clear that The Lifting Legacy is not just a place to work out but a place where people genuinely care about each other’s progress and well-being. If you’re looking for a gym that goes beyond the basics and a trainer who will truly make a difference in your life, I wholeheartedly recommend The Lifting Legacy. The journey here isn’t just about hitting fitness milestones; it’s about becoming the best version of yourself.
