The signage to find free transit parking is extremely confusing and needs to be improved. I was there on a Saturday morning expecting to park for free (or for a nominal amount) and take light rail to Capitol Hill. But there were signs everywhere for $15/day transit parking--on a SATURDAY? Now I believe there may have been free transit parking that I couldn't find, but I still don't know for sure. I decided to drive to Capitol Hill rather than pay $15+ transit fare- found 4 hour street parking for $2, which was all I needed so it worked out. Read moreCONFUSING TRAP: Roof of the parking garage is owned by the mall and are paid, all floors below are own by sound transit and are free, this can get confusing especially since the mall intentionally made it hard to get from the roof (accessed from the north) to the other floors (accessed from the south east).
