Seattle Caviar has a fabulous selection of caviar and other scrumptious morsels (quail eggs, foie gras, truffles, and accoutrements). The Thursday evening caviar tasting is a great way to introduce yourself to a few of the many varieties. It’s a great deal allowing you to taste several types along with champagne and an amuse-bouche to boot! It’s surprising how different they can taste! Most importantly though the people at Seattle Caviar are extremely kind and absolutely wonderful. Last Thursday I came in with some friends and as we were tasting the ikura, we got to talking about sushi. The woman running the tasting recommended a sushi bar just down the block. So, without a thought to my car down in their garage we walked over to have dinner there (very tasty by the way). Well when it came time for them to close up shop they noticed my car, and on a hunch the owner and the woman who’d hosted the tasting walked down to find us to see if it belonged to one of us. They then walked me back and opened the garage up for me to leave. They truly went above and beyond to save me from a huge headache. Cheers to you Seattle Caviar! I've shopped here for years, at least 15 or more and every time I walk through the door it feels as special as the very first. Recently we moved from Seattle to a much more rural area southwest of Olympia. We felt the need to celebrate the coming season so I went online and ordered everything i needed, filled out the information including delivery date and lo and behold this morning UPS was at my door! As always, it came in it's own little cold case, in short it was as perfect as always. The only bad thing I have to say is that I'll miss the always warm and friendly people and atmosphere of the store itself. Good selection, really nice additional touch of having a SCC labeled thermal tote with ice packs to send off with your selections. Would like to come again to sit down and try more next time.

Was a bit miffed that when I initially showed up they were closed with no explanation or anything during business hours but then heard that there was some theft that occurred. Sad to hear that (my business was robbed like 2 days before then on capitol hill that so I can relate).
