Terribly inconsistent food. Never tastes the same twice. Horribly understaffed. The list of bad things about this place could be a mile long if you gave me the time. However, I don't make a point to leave negative reviews unless I feel I absolutely have to, and this is one of those times.
I came in for my regular morning latte and breakfast, and the man that normally would serve me just fine, decided instead to refuse to serve me that day. Having had rapport with this fellow on the previous times I've come into this shop for breakfast, I thought he was joking, so I asked "are you serious?" and he responds in almost a yell, in a very hostile tone, "I'm dead serious."
I called today to ask why that happened and if this is representative of the deli's feelings towards the community, and instead of a response, I was immediately hung up on.
The rudeness and unprofessionalism and refusal to work are all the reasons why any person should avoid this...

I can't help but get lunch here when I'm in the area and if it's early I'll get a pastry and something to drink. It can be a bit pricey but it's almost worth it every time because I just love the sandwiches, PLUS they use the good kind of bacon! :-P From what I understand there has been a change in owners... Breakfast sandwiches are at a fixed price of $4.99 and are served until 11am. Deli service closes at 3pm, but the mini mart portion is open until 9pm.
All drip coffee, espresso, and tea beverages are between $1.85 and $3.95 (cheapest item is an 8oz drip/priciest item is 16oz breve).
