I live in a small town and had to travel due to Dr appts. I’ve never been to a home goods but it was my bday so my husband decided to take me shopping since we were already out of town. I absolutely LOVE Halloween decorations and was so so excited to come across a home goods (THIS WAS MY FIRST EVER VISIT TO ONE) I found a couple of cute things and when we went up to to check out my husband mentioned to the cashier that there was the tiniest crack in one and if we could get it for a couple bucks cheaper. No biggie, I was totally willing to pay full price. Anyway, a different girl at a completely different register snatched the produce out of the cashiers hand and said “actually we aren’t able to sell anything with broken glass so you can’t buy this” I was so confused because it wasn’t “Broken”. I even mentioned that, very politely I might add but She put it under the back counter and ignored us the entire rest of the transaction. Extremely rude. I was so sad and it completely ruined my experience. I just don’t know why she had to be so mean about it. Not to mention that was the last one...
Read moreI love this store and everything in it but there is one employee who makes me super uncomfortable to the point of not wanting to come back. Amy has made super uncomfortable comments BOTH times ive had her as my cashier. First time, I walked up with my sister and she points at me and laughs asking if my sister was "bringing hekate along with her today" and making comments about my appearance. When I showed visible signs of discomfort she continued to Crack jokes at my expense. Today I went back and had her as my cashier and I cannot make this up... she said "she could see into my broken soul" and started making MORE comments about my appearance. I dont consider myself someone who looks "out there" or "strange" so im not sure why im targeted by her uncomfortable and hurtful comments. I hope management will talk to her about how she speaks to customers because this is not normal. Everyone else is absolutely lovely though and the store always has great...
Read moreDon’t shop here if you are a minority. Came here with my fiancé to shop for things for our new place. Literally within 10 minutes of entering the store, loss prevention followed us throughout the store, while my fiancé unaware of the situation, took her time looking around. I worked loss prevention at Target before and we usually don’t pursue possible suspects unless we are 100% positive. On occasion we will tail them for about 5-10 min to look for red flags, and if none are shown, we move on. Unfortunately, at this store, we were followed for the 1 1/2 hours that we walked around the store. I was actually hoping that the manager (tall old caucasian 70s) would stop and search me so I could pursue legal action on the store. Regardless, I wont be shopping at this store again and highly recommend that others (minorities)...
