Please do yourself a favor and just STAY AWAY!! I have insurance and they supposedly verified everything would be covered by my insurance. I called multiple times to make sure that I was not going to incur in any unnecesary charges. Sadly, they neglected to inform me that the appt was not going to be covered under my insurance. They told me there wasnt supposed to be a copay for that day when I got there, but as I was leaving I was informed that I would be charged full price for the visit. I was told I could submit it to my regular medical insurance and they would cover for it. Turns out they coded it as a regular office visit so it cant even be billed to my medical insurance either because it was supposed to be billed through my vision plan, but because the visit turned into a "medical visit" somehow, according to the unexpert eye doctor, and just because my eyes were super red (due to seasonal allergies) I had to pay for it. He didn't even do anything. He looked at my eyes and said they were red and he sent out a prescription to my pharmacy for steroids and was told to follow-up in a week to get my prescription renewed. I thought wth, sure since I am being covered anyways. Very unethical and unprofessional to come and tell me as I am walking out the door, that I would need o make a payment for the appt full price. I would have never scheduled the appt at that place if I knew they wouldnt cover for it. They had the nerves to say that I would get a starbucks card for 5 star review, so please dont believe the people who gave good reviews to this place. Apparently, this is what they do to get their 5 stars here. TRUST ME. STAY AWAY. I went to another eye doctor to follow-up and was told my eyes were fine and that I needed to wean off the medication he prescribed slowly, which by the way, that eye doctor at visionworks never even mention that I would have to do that and I would have cut the eye drops cold cut and hurt my eyes....
Read moreI've gone to this Visionworks location 4 times over the years and agree that the staff is friendly. However, negative experiences will prevent me from going back. I have vision insurance which paid for the exam and frames. After spending nearly $400 on new glasses I was told that the expenses were progressive lenses and transition lenses, not covered by insurance. This year I went to a different company that I had taken my daughter to and realized that her eye exam was more thorough than the one she had gotten at Visionworks. At my appointment with the other company, I purchased designer frames, progressive lenses(which were covered 100% by my insurance) and a glare guard on the lenses. My total bill was $55. The associate at Visionworks apparently did not understand what my insurance covered. Also, the glasses I spent nearly $400 on at VW broke a few months after I purchased them. I took them back to Visionworks, the associate told me that she would try to repair them (the arm came off) but that they would probably break again. She was using a tool to try to repair them. I showed the glasses to my husband and he saw that the arm just snapped together. He fixed the expensive glasses that the associate had said could not be repaired and offered a small discount on a new pair. Visionworks overcharges for...
Read moreAfter a long futile battle with Eyeglass World, I came here. It is the first time I’ve ever worn prescription glasses, and I have been overwhelmed and disappointed with the whole experience. They got me in right away to get my exam, I didn’t even have to make an appointment. The girls and Dr.Case were very nice and made me feel way more comfortable than my previous experience. They were more thorough with the exams and Dr.Case explained everything. After the exam, Kris was exceptional at helping me pick out frames, lenses, etc.. and explained everything in detail without me having to ask. When I left, I compared my prescription from Eyeglass World to the one given me at Vision Works. They were totally different. I just picked up my glasses today, and once again, Kris was excellent. She sized my glasses for me, without me having to ask, and again, explained everything in detail what to expect and how to get used to them. Best of all, I can see without getting nauseous....(the ones from Eyeglass World literally made me seasick, and yes, I returned them) Thanks to all of you at Vision Works for making my transition into wearing glasses so much...
