Shaker Towne Centre — Local services in Shaker Heights

It gets a 3 because the quality of this area has gone down a bit. The best thing is heinens, and possibly doctor kates dental office. The other stores are OK but nothing to write home about. I general feel safe in this area, it has wheel chair accessibility, it does have plenty of stores, auto parts , the hardware store gives it a nice touch also , kinda small town feel.. there are two banks on either end, one bank has been robbed once or twice over the past year or two. So I make sure I never go in. I actually drive to a safer area if I can. While it's nice if you live around the corner and need to do some quick quality grocery shopping or the like.. it definitely could use a face lift and maybe some security. It's a clean area in all aspects . I would choose to come here rather than Lee road...

Shaker Town Center is ok. They have subway and a Habachi restaurant along with Boston Market. Boston M. Can sometimes have long lines. A pet store is there and will be closing soon has discounts. Dentist and orthodontist also. Clothing and shoes (Rainbow store and another urban shoe store, that shoe store is pricey and no returns) Licence bureau there and lines are outside daily but they aren't too slow moving.Baskin Robin's, Dollar store, Gamestop and Heinens there. Heinens only allows 100 people at a time so line may e long but it moves fast. Papa John's pizza there. Pizza hut across the street as well as some cell phone companies. Solon Lofts there, UPS store and Version all in shopping center. Parking is ok, Hardware store no...

Good Afternoon I was at the Shaker Town Cetre on yesterday at the license bureau and Shaker Heights Police came up and started harassing a young black man because he went in 3 stores In the area and because he didn't buy anything they he looked suspicious I have personally went in stores and didn't see what I wanted and left and went in a few other stores with that being said I guess if you're black and go in a store you're a threat that's not good in my view with all mean spirited stuff the police are doing to especially black folks as far as I'm concerned I don't trust any police officer...
