Shaker Heights Public Library — Attraction in Shaker Heights

I can't say enough about this library! I love it! I have visited a ton of times over the years. The renovation has made it even better! The staff is always helpful and polite. It's ALWAYS CLEAN and drama free. Of course you have your regular teens and children that are loud and UNRULY at times but, that doesn't detour me from visiting. I've never had to wait on a computer long or a private room. One thing they can work on is having more than one working copy/ fax machine. There always seems to be an issue with one, so the wait to print or fax is sometimes annoying. Fax is free and copying up to 10 sheets I believe, before you have to pay. Memories... Went to school there for K -6. It was Moreland Elementary in the 40s & 50s. Played many baseball games on that parking lot and tossed many snowballs from the grassy areas. The grassy areas were called triangles and each triangle was dedicated to a certain grade level. Yes.... Snowballs were allowed! Moreland was the only school with a cafeteria and a super large gymnasium. Major badminton tournaments were held there. The stage was full sized where we put on the musical " Toyland."
