Hibachi To Go — Restaurant in Shaker Heights

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. I ordered a steak shrimp and chicken combo. The steak was overcooked the rice was hard I didn’t eat it. I returned it to the store with my receipt the lady at the register said she didn’t know how to return money on the credit card machine so I couldn’t get my money back. She called the manager over the phone and she babbled something about a grocery store and told me I could only get half my money back. I ended up having to call the Shaker Heights Police. They came and asked why can’t I get my money back and I had the entire dinner along with my receipt. She started to yell at the police and tell them how she didn’t know how to work the credit card machine she call her manager I had her over the phone babbling again. The police got off the phone with the manager and still asked her why is it that I couldn’t get my money back there is nothing posted stating that there was no refund. It was crazy how she thought I cared about her being undertrained and even crazier that I would allow them to prepare more food and all the foreign people had attitudes and was speaking loud in another language. My first time here and I only ordered shrimp egg rolls. How can you go wrong with that, right? Wrong! ... There was only 1 shrimp in each one and not many vegetables either. For $2 each that just wasn't worth it. I did not like that brown liquid sauce they gave me either. I'm not sure if this is the supposed "yum yum" sauce others in the restaurant were getting but it wasn't yummy to me at all. People actually paid extra for more containers of it. Online prices versus in store prices

I placed an online order to minimize the wait time when I picked up my order. This was NOT a food delivery order. One item I ordered was $8 in the restaurant and I paid $15.99 online! There was a minimum of 1/3 difference in the price I paid for using the website versus ordering onsite in the restaurant.

The owner said it was because he had to pay for the website. REALLY!!! He actually tried to justify grossly over charging for mediocre food (at best). He further said, I should have telephoned my ordered.

Guess what, I won't be funding the cost of your website, telephoning in an order or patronizing your establishment EVER again!
