A Touch of Italy — Restaurant in Shaker Heights

This isn't a restaurant, it's a bar that serves cafeteria food. And that's an overstatement because I've made cafeteria food better. We were the only table seated when we went. It was suggested as a good Italian place but they only have a small corner in the menu for Italian food.

They started playing music that got progressively louder as we were there. Apparently they were switching over to bar only when we arrived only no one told us. Service wasn't bad but not attentive either. There was a lack of menu knowledge and I had to ask for a sauce that came with one of our appetizers which I was initially told was not available but one was found after I asked for an alternative.

Our entrées hadn't come out yet when our server let us know that her shift was over but she'd make sure we got our food. After waiting for at least 15-20 minutes and the lights in the kitchen area beinf turned off, my boyfriend went to see where our food was. Apparently we were expected to come pick it up to go but were not told so. So we get our food separated, we were with other people, and go home.

I had spaghetti and meatballs, my boyfriend had the pasta and sausage and my son got a burger. My meatballs were most likely pre-cooked frozen and not good at all. The sauce was straight out of a can and completely undoctored. I couldn't even eat it. They also gave me the wrong dressing, and I can't stand ranch. I looked at my boyfriend's food and they put two whole blonde looking sausages with pasta. Not even slices let alone on a diagonal and no browning. My son couldn't bring himself to eat his burger. He said it was disgusting. I let him toss it.

We were too tired deal with it but doctored it as best we could the next day since we spent money on it. Oh and I'm pretty sure someone there pocketed some headphones that fell out...

Come here for wings all the time and always get pretty good service but today I called to ask the wings flavors and the rude girl who answered the phone apparently wasn’t up for doing her job today and respond we have a bunch of flavors they’re online. Mind you I was calling because prior to calling I did attempt to look online and order online and it wasn’t working in which I also stated to the girl…. Then I asked her can I order online she was speaking fast with an attitude so I had to ask her to repeat herself and of course was given more attitude. I even was trying to be nice and said I can’t hear the last thing you’re saying. She says door dash and Uber eats I can finally make out but again I already tried door dash and it said unavailable!!! So you’re being rude to me and I’m calling because the system you claim I can order from isn’t working!!! Please if you do not like people do not work in the service industry!!! I did not deserve to be talked to like that and from a customer who frequents the spot. So now I’m placing no order At all. I don’t want to be talked to like that where I’m spending my money!!!! This place has to be a prank. There is no way that this is a real business. I ordered food yesterday from this establishment and was very disappointed. First off, the place is dirty. The tables aren’t wiped clean, the booths are old with the cushions coming apart on the seats, and floors not swept. The place smells like a sewer. The woman that rang up my order kept coughing and didn’t cover her mouth or wash her hands. The cooks in the back were very loud with swear words after every sentence as if they were hanging out on a street corner wasting time. And the place is called “Touch of Italy” but not one Italian in sight lol. This place is ghetto and should be closed down and renovated. I was shocked at what I saw and heard yesterday. People can’t seriously eat here. And the wait times were about 40 minutes. I paid about $60 for the meal. That is $60 to tell me to never come back here again. Do better people. It’s...
