Read moreI've been wanting to try Irie for quite a while now since they are so well rated by various magazines and such. We ordered on a Friday evening and the food was ready for pickup super quick. We had the 3 Likkle Birds, which gave us I nice intro to three different chicken preparations. The jerk is spicy, but right below my tolerance level, which was perfect. The stewed was less spicy and tasty, and the curry very mild. The curry wasn't as flavorful as most curries I've had, but it was still very good. We also had the oxtail, which is good but needed a little salt to make it tastier. We ordered extra plantains because we didn't realize they came with the oxtail, but we were glad because they are excellent! Those two entrees filled us up and we have enough leftovers for another meal. Can't wait to order...
Read moreI wanted to love this place so bad!! I first seen this place on instagram I live far west finally decided to drive ALL the way just to try the oxtails and curry chicken…. It was early maybe 1pm and was shocked because of the mess around the food BUT there may have been a lunch rush. The young ladies were so kind and patient again i was super excited and wanted to try everything I got the curry chicken bowl for myself and oxtail box for my husband WORST IVE EVER HAD… It’s obvious the cooks are not Jamaican there’s nothing AUTHENTIC about it… the gravy was gelatin brown gravy and curry and simply tasted OLD like it was all maybe a week old if not frozen and reheated!
