Taste-T-Drive-In — Restaurant in Shelby

I went at 11:33am. So I'll I saw was a dirty rocky old blacktop area. Absolutely loved the BLT, the last who took my order was so nice and sweet.

I also ordered the "Banana Pudding" as started on the window. Turns out it is vanilla pudding with a lot of Nilla wafers and supposedly banana pieces (I didn't see any). I found this out by asking. I went back to the nice lady and said, Your banana pudding had no banana flavor. Some other person in the back said it's vanilla pudding with pieces of banana.

And that's all they said and did for me. So, I ordered from their menu a banana pudding and was sold vanilla pudding. I threw it away.

Used to be one of the best quick and go sandwich shops in Shelby. Now they have this people that don't want to care they would rather than talk and check their phones. Then when you order the food they don't put enough anything on it. Ordered chili and slaw with ketchup on the cheeseburger, I get maybe a spoonful of each and no ketchup. The bun is full of grease and the plates are full of grease. The onion rings are greasy Brown like they've soaked in Grease. I took a picture where you could actually see the grease drain down the plate. I forgave the first time, but now it's happened again and I heard other people talking about it. So even though it was a tradition and good food at one...

Burgers are definitely the selling point of the restaurant, lemonade and tea was great. Onion rings were amazing! They just fall short on their hush puppies, almost like the oil temp was too high, the outside looked burnt but then the inside was still doughy. The chili cheese fries I will say just kinda felt not worth the price tag almost 5 bucks and you get a little paper boat with fries, a slice of cheese and a scoop of chili on top. But overall if your looking for a pretty decent burger and onion rings then go here. If you were hoping for amazing hush puppies and chili cheese fries then look elsewhere.
