Books From California — Local services in Simi Valley

Purchased book from Books From California from Amazon listing(072708), which had no description and listed condition as good. Seller had same book listed at same time on Abe's Books, which I found after making purchase. That listing had a description of good condition with some creases and tears.

Book was delivered 080825. First, book was poorly packed. It is to large(12" X 17") and to heavy(1.75 pounds) for any kind of envelope, but that is what was used. The spine of the book was broken and page biddings were coming loss. There were greasy finger prints on some pages and some pages show signs of water/beverage stains. Due to the poor packing the hard bond covers both front and back, all the corners are now all bashed in. I guess one part of the decription not being correct was a good thing, I did not find any tears as was in the Abe's Books description

I would not recommend purchasing from this seller on line. I can not comment about...

I spent $142 + $50 shipping on a 1st edition leather-bound by Kurt Vonnegut and they sent me the 1990 edition which is worth a fraction of the cost I paid.
