Love the vibe at Makenna Coffee!

Highlights: • Diverse menu for coffee, tea, non-caffeinated drinks, and Red Bull slushes • Ample seating inside with neighbor seating outside • Average coffeehouse pricing (about $5 for small specialty drinks) • Youthful vibe that accommodates conversational groups and working individuals alike

The music is the one downside as it was electronic (very youthful, though). The coffee was very good -- we tried two seasonal specialty drinks. The Kona Cloud for the cold brew is delicious! If you like sweet, they definitely do great with that flavor profile. If you ask for additional shots, it helps with cutting down the sweetness for sugary blends -- the espresso itself is a wonderful roast! I stopped by this Coffee place to finally try their hot chocolate. This place is literally across the street from the work so it was convenient for me. I found parking fine because I came right when they open but it can get difficult if you come later in the day. When I walked in, they were still setting up for the day but I was able to put in my order of hot chocolate and their chocolate crossiant. The inside of this place looks relaxing and I think you should be able to work here as well if needed. There also some outside seating that this place share with Panda Express. I thought the hot chocolate was good but the chocolate crossiant is heavy so be aware. I got the crossiant hot, so the worker microwave it. I have family on the West Coast and typically stay in a different part of the LA area. My hotel was a stones throw away from the coffee shop. My friends and family told me, as if it were a drink of the God's, "GET THE MAUI MILK LATTE!" Well, after one sip, I was waiting for Thor to come crashing in asking for sustenance. I am a coffee fanatic and this coffee was by far in the top 3 of all time deliciousness...coast to coast. I am still trying to figure out what their recipe precisely is for that latte (Maui milk) because now that I am back on the East Coast, there isn't a coffee shop around that can do what they do! Staff are chill and kind which totally resonates throughout the store...you come in excited and leave satisfied with a sense of connectedness we so lack...
