Things were better when Depot and Max were in competition. Clearly whichever one bought the other just didn't want to try so now they own both and don't have to do a good job. Specifically this time, I used the print services. They called and left a message saying that I selected "Cut and Fold" on some brochures. I didn't click or even see those buttons when placing my order but ok, sure, why wouldn't I want them cut and folded? Well they called to tell me that they can do one or the other but not both. I have no idea why that can't be accomplished especially if there are theoretically those options and I was charged for them. - Anyway, I said fold then and the person on the phone (also confused about why I got a call) said if there were white edges around the print they would cut them off.
Today I went and picked up the order. Not only are there white edges on every side that aren't cut off and not only is the paper ridiculously thin and they look and feel super cheap but the "fold" is a sad, half-attempt at a fold that I will have to go through and finish on every one of them. You can't even stack these because there's so much air in between every page that they're far from flat.
The attitude at the counter tells you everything you need to know. Office Depot is desperate to have anyone working there, the employee couldn't care less and neither one of them are going to do anything about anything.
I'll be looking into who else does somewhat speedy print services in town as my other visits weren't great...
Read moreWell, the employees try hard to please the customers. That's the best thing about this place. Been there 4 times attempting to use their copy/print/scan services. Yesterday I got disconnected from their wifi service 8 times in a row. I was attempting to send an email from my personal account to the office depot account so that I could print some attachments. I started the email, and typed everything in. Then when I would try to attach something, it would just spin and spin and never be able to attach, then disconnect from the Wi-Fi. Then I would have to reconnect to wifi. Then retype a new email as it didn't save a draft. I finally left in disgust. The employee at the copy station recommended I try to email from home instead as my home Wi-Fi would probably work better. Said that the big computers they have in their back area, where they produce orders, compete for the Wi-Fi all the time and people always get disconnected. Plus they charge $1.50 per page to send a fax. It would have been $43.50 to fax my 29 pages. Come on Office Depot, upgrade your service - this is pathetic! Plus your entrance looks really run down and ragged, you need to put new...
Read moreReally not impressed with Office Depot. I’ve been in here twice and left with nothing both times. Went in to get something printed and the employee just sat there and told me they couldn’t do it. Wouldn’t listen to me or even give me a chance to speak. I have worked at newspapers, print shops, and graphics design jobs on and off for over 20 years, I know what I need and I’m pretty sure I know what they are capable of. I left with nothing since I couldn’t even talk. Last night I decided to stop in and check out their office chairs, I saw one online that I was interested in and I wanted to check it out. I went back to the chair area but it was impossible to find anything. None of the chairs were next to the sign that talked about it so I don’t even know if they had the chair I was looking for. Looked around for a while and couldn’t tell what I was looking at. Kept looking around for an employee but I think I saw two the entire time. One disappeared as soon as he could and the other was checking out a customer. Just so fed up with this store. It was impossible to find what I wanted and there doesn’t seem to be any helpful employees...
