Me and my Husband came to sisters from Idaho just looking around visiting all the unique shops and gallery’s. We decided to stop at Dixies and look around in hopes to find hats and boots for our kids. We walked in and not even five minutes after being in there, we were approached by Dixie. She asked if we were okay, and we answered yes with a smile. Right after that we started being watched by the male personnel working. He followed us through the store and continued to stand next to us and watch. Mind you there was many more people in the store, however we were the only couple being closely watched as if we were bad people. The man watching us made me very upset so I told my husband not to buy from here because the way they were acting towards us. My husband put the boots back and we decided to purchase two kids cowboys hats. When we were checking out we noticed the male personnel sitting at a computer reviewing surveillants of my husband and I , and I soon realized exactly what was going on. This made me very upset , not because we were being followed but because we were being profiled. My husband is black and I’m Latina, and for a small town store to act the way they did is disgusting. We weren’t there to steal from you, we were there simply because we thought it was a cute place. I will never go back, some people are beyond disrespectful and I truly feel...
Read moreI'd like to start by saying I absolutely love Dixie's. It is one of my favorite shops and I love the atmosphere.
Today, I was in Dixie's and watched a very unfortunate scene. As a lady and her family were checking out, she seemed unhappy. When she asked the girl checking them out if the girl in the back worked there, she replied "yes" and they continued by saying she almost lost the sale for them and she was being "rude."
The gal checking them out then seemed confused and replied with "oh.." taken aback by what the lady just told her. The lady then immediately proceeded to get more upset, saying the checker didn't care either, and that "sealed the deal." She stormed out saying she never had worse service.
I hate to witness such a negative encounter because Dixie's is a family-owned business, and it shows! Everyone in the store is super friendly, helpful, and obviously busy working with all the customers in the store. They take pride in their customer service and I always feel welcomed every time I come into the shop.
I would recommend this shop to everyone. It's unfortunate that this customer was clearly having a bad day, and it came out onto the employees at Dixie's. She's missing out and I hope she has...
Read moreI came across this store and was obsessed because I love everything western. So it was very disappointing how my experience with Dixie’s went. I special ordered a pair of jeans from here as finding my size is always a struggle, and was initially told they would arrive around 2 weeks which worked perfectly for me in needing them for a couple of events. Two weeks, nothing. Three weeks, oh still nothing but I understand delays as I also run a business so it’s not a biggie. ONE MONTH I call the shop and the worker says to me, “I placed the order yesterday.” So they hadn’t placed the order until I called a month later, I doubt he had placed it “yesterday” but “yesterday” sounds better than “I forgot to place your order.” It is now a month and a half later still no pants. I call and ask for tracking info and apparently they “have no way of tracking” the order which is completely false. You can always track an order, unless you haven’t actually ordered it. I also run a business and know this is no way to run one. Again, cute store, but...
