Overall, not a great experience. I have been to this little picturesque town many times for their 4th of July parade and thought it would be a great place to explore one day. It appeared to have many small unique shops and restaurants. Today was the day to explore only to find most of the businesses closed on Tuesdays! In all I found five stores open. Many stores do not have their hours posted on the town's website. I was extremely frustrated! I did do some window peeking and was not impressed. Some stores were also no longer in business but still listed in brochures and the website. I shall just stick to July 4th in the future and bypass the business...
Read moreVery pretty small village with interesting stores and many restaurants. Take a walk up one side of the street, cross, then down the other. During holidays it’s decorated beautifully. Walk the Skippack Village Trail. It’s about 1 1/2 miles one way. Parking lot is between Hotel Fiosole and Koi Japanese Restaurant. You’ll see the small covered bridge, drive or walk through, keep to the Right and you’ll see signs. This small trail will also direct you to the Perkiomen trail and Evansburg State Park. Just look for the green signs with arrows....
Read moreI find this village not very pedestrian friendly nor is there a traffic light to help decrease the risk of accident. At this point, I need to ask if there was ever a risk assesment peformed for the area and what is the number of accidents/injury/deaths the village has alloted for themselves in order to find putting in a pedestrian crosswalk or traffic light a need?
