Avoid! To be clear, the wait staff that have to be apologetic for the restaurant condition, questionable food sanitary conditions, and food quality are great. A restaurant where the owner refuses to run appropriate HVAC systems to maintain safe conditions for food and patrons, where a blatant disregard for safety leaves mass amounts of condensation outside the kitchen where anyone can slip in an actual puddle and blames it on the weather (sorry, if every other restaurant can figure this out and you can’t, then you are in the wrong industry) and they do not care or even attempt the most basic followup to check on injury, should be thoroughly checked out by the board of health and undergo inspection. If you cannot manage to do the most basic things with the room, then i do not even want to imagine the corners they cut in the kitchen. Unfortunately, i don’t have to imagine because i tried the “baklava” and we are all lucky i do not have a peanut allergy, because the only flavors in this dessert were peanut butter and dish soap. There is another dessert with peanuts, but i guess clean serving utensils in the kitchen are too hard to manage? Oh, let’s not forget the extra preservatives they apparently add to their “quality” cooking. But i mean, who does not want to spend way too much money on a thimble of tzatziki and week old shriveled pita? I suffered through that so you do not...
Read moreBYOB with indoor and outdoor seating options. Outdoor seemed nice at first, but we were seated next to the township bathroom and had a line next to our table at one point waiting for that. They also started cleaning the tables for the night at 8:30 when they didn't close until 9:30. Had the Mezze Platter as an appetizer, but this was underwhelming and lacking in flavor. They also had substitutions compared to the menu description without giving us a heads up. I would have been disappointed paying $10 for it, but instead, it was $19. As others have mentioned, the pita was delivered only after we were halfway done with the platter. When ordering the entree, we tried ordering two different salmon meals but were later informed that they were out of salmon. Then, tried to order the lamb shank, but they were out of that, too. With only 12 entrees on the menu, they were out of 25% of their options on what seemed like a quiet Saturday night. The chicken kebabs were moist but bland, and the shrimp and feta orzo were lacking flavor. With MUCH better Mediterranean options in KOP, Pottstown, Phoenixville, Downingtown, etc, we unfortunately won't be trying this place again. I should mention that the host/waiter was attentive/friendly and did the best with what he had...
Read moreThe Meze Platter is a sampling of their babganush, hummus and tzatziki with kalamata olives, halved grape tomatoes, grapes, cucumbers, figs served with garlic pita. Everything was spiced well yet was subtle. This appetizer was enough to fill us up! But then we had the chef’s special which was Sirloin Steak Shawrma and it was out of this world! Super tender meat and the cheese was melted well throughout with the seasonings that reminded me of my favorite Greek restaurant. We also had the mushroom orzo which was delicious and made with fresh mushrooms. We also opted to have dessert which doesn’t happen much anymore. The strawberry shortbread was actually a strawberry cheesecake with pistachio crumble. It was exquisite! Delicious and light yet full of strawberry flavor and a wonderful pistachio crumb crust. I have to say we were impressed by the service and the quality of the food. We were her on Father’s Day and all of Skippack was unusually quiet. This restaurant HD more people on their patio and everyone seemed to be enjoying their experience. Our server Jason was great. He was perfectly attentive but not hovering. He also was kind enough to provide right-sized containers for our leftovers! The night was perfect for...
